 Bright Spectrum Learning specialises in autism support (for primary and
high-school students) and early intervention educational services in Canberra.
We believe that when EVERY child's extraordinary strengths and needs are
nurtured, the possibilities are endless. 

Are you worried that your child is: 

 * finding it difficult to engage in classroom or home-school activities?

 * "bored" or not being challenged at school? 

 * anxious or hesitant about going to school?

 * overwhelmed about assignments, classwork or getting organised for learning?

 * withdrawing from group work and social experiences at school? 

While it may feel like it, you are not alone in your concerns, particularly if
you have an autistic child and/or a child with attention or sensory differences.
School refusal behaviours, anxiety, and poorer academic, well-being and social
outcomes have been found to be significantly elevated in neurodiverse children. 

More importantly, neurodiverse learners have expressed their need to be
understood, want to learn, and to be treated and supported equally to their
peers. "This school is 100% not autistic friendly!" (Cunningham, 2022). 

Bright Spectrum Learning is focused on improving learning and well-being
outcomes for all children

The service provides tailored, evidence-based learning, and extension programs,
aligned with the outcomes of the Australian Curriculum and individual NDIS plan
goals. Teaching can be provided in both home and classroom settings using
gentle, engaging, evidence-based, student-centred approaches to learning, and
recognises that this looks different for each student. 


Our session objectives include: 

 * Providing support and extension in specific learning areas, including, but
   not limited to, Reading, Writing and Numeracy;

 * Challenging and assisting students with undertaking new learning experiences
   that they are interested in; 

 * Setting and working towards achieving individual student learning goals;

 * Increasing classroom engagement and optimising learning;

 * Incorporating deep interests to extend learning;

 * Providing Professional Development for Education Providers in the wide range
   of teaching and learning needs, behaviours and approaches proven to improve
   learning outcomes for neurodiverse students;

 * Supporting and collaborating with carers and families to develop home-school
   programs, learning and support strategies; and

 * Boosting student confidence and fostering a joy for learning.

Bright Spectrum Learning adopts a strength-based, student-led approach and does
not aim to change the unique qualities and learning styles of students.
