Our plans have an innovative robust and state-of-the art stadium strategy that
will offer fans attending a world-class match day experience. It includes 15
proposed stadiums across 5 diverse host cities; a combination of 4 existing
stadiums, 3 under construction and 8 planned new builds. They are all designed
to meet Saudi Arabia’s long-term infrastructure needs. Our 5 host cities will
have 2 proposed FIFA Fan Festival™ Sites, while our 10 other host locations are
proposed to support team base camps.

01 KING SALMAN INTERNATIONAL STADIUM

This spectacular new stadium will have the highest capacity in Saudi Arabia, and
become a major center for sports and home to the national team. Host of the
opening and final matches, the stadium and its precinct will anchor the Green
Riyadh development’s masterplan, contributing to the city’s ongoing
transformation.

02 KING FAHAD SPORTS
CITY STADIUM

This existing stadium is one of the most iconic venues in the region, with a
distinctive fabric roof inspired by traditional tents. It is located near
attractions such as the planned Sports Boulevard that will provide community
access to green spaces. The refurbishment will significantly increase capacity
and enable uses from football matches to concerts.

03 PRINCE MOHAMMED BIN SALMAN STADIUM

This new stadium will be located in the Qiddiya development, its design offering
spectacular views out towards the Tuwaiq cliffs. The stadium’s materials,
including iridescent glass and shimmering metal, contribute to a futuristic
aesthetic.

04 NEW MURABBA STADIUM

The distinctive design of this new stadium replicates the overlapping planes and

05 ROSHN STADIUM

This new stadium is designed as a dynamic part of the urban fabric, with a
different look to a typical sports venue. It will sit in a central plaza
surrounded by the bowl’s ‘crystalline’ structure, a delicate latticework that
will glow in the night sky.

06 PRINCE FAISAL BIN FAHAD SPORTS CITY STADIUM

This will be a new multi-purpose sports facility in Riyadh. Its design draws
inspiration from the “culturally contextualized modernism” principles of Salmani
architecture. The stadium will be part of a wider park site master plan. It will
sit at the heart of a vibrant community facility that will provide locals with a
combination of community sports facilities and green spaces.

07 SOUTH RIYADH STADIUM

The stunning design of this new stadium is inspired by the “culturally
contextualized modernism” principles of Salmani architecture. After the
Competition, the stadium will be home to a professional football club and host
sport and entertainment events.

08 KING SAUD UNIVERSITY STADIUM

This existing stadium is next to the vibrant U Walk – a King Saud University
mixed-use development. It currently hosts Saudi Pro League games and other major
sporting events, and its capacity will be expanded for the Competition.

01 QIDDIYA LARGE 
FESTIVAL GROUNDS

Qiddiya Large Festival Grounds will be a unique outdoor venue beneath the
stunning ancient cliffs of Qiddiya.


02 KING SALMAN PARK

King Salman Park will be the largest urban park in the world. It will add
significant green space to the capital city as part of the aim to make Riyadh
one of the world’s most livable cities.

PROPOSED JEDDAH STADIUMS

The second largest city in Saudi Arabia. Its coastal location on ancient trade
routes and status as a modern commercial center have made it Saudi Arabia’s most
cosmopolitan city.

01 KING ABDULLAH SPORTS CITY STADIUM

This stadium was built in 2014 and is known as ‘The Shining Jewel’ for its
distinctive geometric architecture. Planned refurbishments will update the
stadium to meet FIFA requirements and be integrated into the stadium’s existing
architecture.

02 QIDDIYA COAST STADIUM

This new stadium will be located at the heart of the Qiddiya Coast Development,

and joyful color palette.

03 JEDDAH CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT STADIUM

This stadium echoes the traditional architecture of Jeddah’s historic Al Balad

design. It will anchor the Sport Park District of JCD, seamlessly integrated
with its surrounding villages.

04 KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY STADIUM

This new stadium will serve the vibrant King Abdullah Economic City area on the

01 KHUZAM PARK

Khuzam Park will be a rich blend of past and present. Close to the historic Al
Balad district, the park will blend modern amenities with a deep respect for
Jeddah’s heritage.


02 JEDDAH WATERFRONT

Jeddah Waterfront is one of the city’s most vibrant destinations and has
previously hosted the Formula 1® Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2022. Its linear park
features beaches and green spaces.

A modern metropolis in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, part of an
interconnected hub that also includes the cities of Dammam, Dhahran, and Al
Qatif.

This new stadium is located in the north of Al Khobar, on the shore of the

expanded to more than 45,000 for the FIFA World Cup 2034™, with refurbishment

01 AL BIHAR SQUARE

Al Bihar Square, located in Abha city center, is a culturally and historically
rich location with a modern, spacious layout.


02 AL DHABAB PARK

Al Dhabab Park, on the south side of Abha, is a popular public garden with
scenic views looking towards the mountains in Aseer.

PROPOSED NEOM STADIUM

Located in northwestern Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Red Sea, NEOM is among
the most innovative development projects in the world.

more than 350 meters above ground, and a roof created from the city itself, the

WHEN WAS SAUDI ARABIA AWARDED THE FIFA WORLD CUP 2034™?

Saudi Arabia was announced as host nation of the FIFA World Cup 2034™ on
December 11th, 2024.

WHAT ARE THE PROPOSED HOST CITIES?

Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and NEOM. They will also be supported by other
host locations, that will mainly home to Team base camps – AlUla, AlMadinah, Al
Baha, Tabuk, Hail, Umluj, Buraidah, Taif, Jazan, Al Ahsa.

HOW MANY STADIUMS ARE PROPOSED?

Our proposed 15 world-class stadiums are across 5 host cities. They include a
combination of existing stadiums’ refurbishment (4), new stadiums under
construction (3) and planned new builds (8).

WILL THERE BE LOCATIONS FOR FANS TO CELEBRATE OUTSIDE STADIUMS?

Each of the 5 host cities have 2 proposed FIFA Fan Festival™ sites that
integrate digital and physical experiences into public celebrations of football
where fans will experience Saudi Arabia’s vibrant culture and hospitality. FIFA
will make the final decision on 1 FIFA Fan Festival™ site per city.
