NOT A REGULAR CONFERENCE

With traditional conferences, you usually don't know who else will be there or
who would be good to connect with. Networking can be awkward which is why it
often comes to randomly meeting people at the coffee stand! Presentations may
contain useful insights but tend to be abstract, high level and overly polished,
skimming over the really useful bits. Communication is mostly one-way, with
little opportunity to contextualise or clarify key points. If, despite these
challenges, you find inspiration and make some new contacts, what's the lasting
impact once you're back at work and dealing with day-to-day challenges?

KEEPING IT REAL

We keep the focus on real-world, practical experience. Through case studies and
interactive discussions, participants hear directly about what's working, what
challenges were overcome and how.

HIGH RELEVANCE

You select the discussion sessions you are most interested in. We invite your
input about what you'd like to be addressed to maximise relevance for your
context and current focus areas.

TRUSTED ENVIRONMENT

You know in advance who else will be attending the meeting and who will be
joining each of your selected sessions. The whole setup is designed to foster
openness and candid, high value exchanges.

PERSONALISED NETWORKING

Each participant completes an interests profile which helps us to suggest 121
meetings as part of your personalised agenda and helps you to identify others
who would be useful to connect with.

ROUNDTABLES & DISCUSSIONS

We believe that everybody can bring something to the table whether it's
first-hand experience or good questions which is why we structure the day in a
way that maximises interaction and sharing.

ONGOING CONTACT

In-person meetings work in tandem with our regular online discussions to support
ongoing best practice insights and networking, providing opportunities to
soundboard with your peers each step of the way.

ONLINE DISCUSSION PROGRAMME

Our responsive online discussions typically involve participants based on the
compatibility of their interests and contexts so we can keep a tight focus and
dig deeper into each area of best practice. They're flexible and limited to 60
minutes so we can bring together a wider range of experience and insights over
time, leading to more effective best practice-sharing.

HIGHLIGHTS

REAL WORLD DIGITAL SUPPLY CHAIN

Nigel's Substack posts are required reading, condensing his many years of
experience both as a practitioner and consultant into lucid insights into the
real-world challenges and best practices in supply chain digital transformation
including:
- Why is it so hard? How to go from solving discrete problems to designing
coherent and integrated user centric solutions?
- How to see through the hype surrounding digital supply chain technologies?
Graph vs SQL database foundations
- What are the real barriers to successful digital transformation and
self-driving supply chains?
- How and why the supply chain workforce needs to become future fit?
- Building supply chain (and personal) resilience

THE DECARBONISATION OF FREIGHT AND THE FUTURE OF SUPPLY CHAINS

Global freight emissions are heading in the wrong direction. If targets to cut
emissions by 40% by 2030 and 70% by 2050 are to be met, the structure of trade
and supply chains will need to be fundamentally redesigned. How is this
transformation likely to take shape and what are the implications for supply
chain strategy and network design?

- The size of the challenge
- Potential solutions

   - wind power

   - non-fuel technology

- The interplay with supply chain resilience & thinking outside the box

BUILDING TRUST WITHIN TEAMS AND STAKEHOLDERS

Throughout the many best practice discussions we hold on a broad spectrum of
supply chain transformation topics, one challenge is at the heart of all of
them....people. This is often framed as gaining buy-in, trusting the number,
process adherence and working within the tool or platform but boils down to
persuading people to leave their comfort zones which requires trust.
Doug has decades of experience coaching executives and leadership teams to build
and maintain trust using simple techniques to better understand and adapt to
personal styles.

Foresight presentation: How Generative AI can drive supply chain transformation
Supply chain transformation is, at heart, about harnessing huge volumes of
structured and unstructured data to gain valuable insights into costs, demand
patterns and supply volatility. Generative AI has the capability to analyse
large amounts of data from multiple sources to identify, contextualise and
summarise patterns, providing insights and decision support and, potentially,
automated decisions.
