Learn More VENERABLE NANO NAGLE Honoria "Nano" Nagle (1718–1786) was a trailblazer of her time - a compassionate and visionary woman who dedicated her life to uplifting the poor and marginalized in Ireland. Whether through education, providing food, or offering medical care, Nano was a beacon of hope for those in need. Her remarkable efforts led to the founding of a religious order, now known as the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (PBVM). Fast forward to today, and Nano’s legacy lives on! Thousands of Sisters and Presentation People around the world continue her mission, championing compassion, justice, and transformation in communities everywhere. Our UN Advocacy Focus for 2024-2026 centers on the elimination of violence against women & children. We work to influence policies & decisions that support those in need globally, with a foundation rooted in our efforts to gather & report on the lived experiences of the poor & marginalised at the grassroots level.
