Brand Development at Fused Footwear

Fused is an innovative footwear company founded by Philippe Holthuizen in 2017.
Specializing in fully 3D-printed, recyclable shoes, the brand blends a cyberpunk
futuristic aesthetic with vintage design influences. Inspired by figures like
Syd Mead, Luigi Colani, and Paul Rand, Fused captures the dynamic essence of
Philippe's designs. Each pair is made to order and wear-tested for daily use,
embodying the company's commitment to sustainability and unique style.

Recognizing the brand's potential, I proposed a rebrand to Philippe. Over three
months, we explored numerous directions to refine the brand, capturing the
innovative spirit behind each creation.

Brand development (fictional) at Machiavelli Libri

Machiavelli is a Venetian bookstore that specializes in the sale of classic and
contemporary pieces of Italian literature. The store is dedicated to promoting
the rich cultural heritage of Italy through the written word. In addition to
books, the bookstore also sells works of art. These art pieces are carefully
selected to complement the literature on offer and to add value to the overall
aesthetic of the bookstore.

The store is designed to be a place where customers can not only purchase books
and art but also where they can immerse themselves in the culture and history of
Italy. The bookstore also aims to seamlessly integrate physical and digital
architectures, making it easy for customers to browse and purchase both physical
books and digital copies.

Intending to promote Italian literature and culture, Machiavelli is a
destination for those interested in the best of Italian art and literature.
Whether you're looking for a classic novel, a contemporary work of literature,
or a unique piece of art, Machiavelli offers a selection that is unmatched in
terms of quality and cultural significance. The task for this project was to
create a logo, name, and identity to reflect the story of the brand and inspire
the world with its rich literary and artistic heritage.
