BOWEL SCREENING SAVES LIVES

Over the next two years, around 45,000 people across the district will be
invited for screening around their birthday. There is no need to enrol – a
letter and a screening test will be sent to people’s homes. Anyone who has
recently moved or changed address is urged to ensure their GP has up-to-date
information.


TE WAO NUI

Te Wao Nui, our new child health service for the Wellington region is open. It
provides surgical, medical, out-patient and cancer services for
tamariki/children and rangatahi/young people .

 * HOSPITALS ASK PEOPLE TO RETURN UNNEEDED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

   Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley is asking people to return
   unneeded medical equipment – including crutches, walking frames, shower
   stools, and raised toilet seats – so that they can be available for new
   patients.

   From Thursday 18 May, Wellington Regional Hospital will begin to resume
   normal operations following the reopening of John Street and improved access
   to Wellington Regional hospital.
