At Telefónica we are looking to ETSI TeraFlowSDN as a solution that demonstrates the advantages of open and disaggregated networks and allows fast new use cases prototyping. After this important milestone, we are looking forward to work alongside the industry in advancing the carrier grade commercial-ready solutions to be deployed in all our networks. Juan Pedro Fernández-Palacios, Head of Transport Networks CTIO, Telefónica Research and innovation on SDN can benefit greatly from such a game changer. We strongly believe that TeraFlowSDN will generate important research topics and enable deployment of innovative solutions. Novel service concepts can much more effectively come to life. Håkon Lønsethagen, Senior Research Scientist, Telenor Group Our participation in the group has the ambition to demonstrate the integration of microwave transport networks management in a multi-technology and multi-vendor environment referring to the SDN paradigm using standard open interfaces to implement the new features required by the evolution of telco networks. Claudio Passera, Software Laboratory Director, SIAE Microelettronica Over the years, ETSI has grown its relationship with the research community. We have developed the means to help them identify research topics for standardization at an early stage so that the required standards are available to the industry when they are needed. TeraFlowSDN will help promote and facilitate adoption of ETSI standards among software development communities and open-source projects. It will also provide building blocks for other 5G PPP and SNS JU research projects. Luis Jorge Romero, Director General, ETSI TeraFlowSDN has the objective of easing the adoption of SDN by telco operators. We want to bring innovation in the ecosystem and contribute to network programmability for current 5G and beyond deployments. Furthermore, TeraFlowSDN will ease proof-of-concept demonstration for many ETSI ISG to demonstrate faster the proposed standard solutions.
