If you’re in their area look no further.Response from the ownerThank you Gisele Eve Mcmillan2 months agoGraham Gibb3 months agoWe picked Clarks, for our move to Yorkshire, as they are a well established local company, and we’re cheaper than other similar firms.We were nervous about someone moving all of our contents especially as our, not quite a double size, garage was full of so much stuff that we struggled to fit a car in it. Most being bits and pieces that we couldn’t really pack into boxes.We spent weeks filling around 80 boxes but still had a lot of stuff that we couldn’t pack. We were getting stressed, worrying whether the removers would take everything.We needn’t have worried. The guys came the day before the move and said everything was fine. They loaded as much as they could then returned on the move day, to collect the remaining bits.They were extremely helpful and made us feel relaxed during the whole process. The garage was completely cleared in less than half an hour!They handled everything with great care. They put protection on the floors, especially at the new property as it was raining.All the people we dealt with were friendly and helpful, but I must mention Kevin, Harry, and Michael who were very professional, friendly, and jolly and completely took the stress out of the moving process. They worked tirelessly throughout. Nothing was too much trouble.It’s also worth noting that boxes, packing paper and tape, (and their delivery) are included in the price, as are other things like late key delay. Having taken delivery of new garden furniture we quickly realised that we didn’t have the required brawn or brains to get it in the house and into the garden. One phone call and as quick as a flash we were sorted - furniture moved with minimum fuss - and we can now enjoy the last vestiges of the delightful British summer (!) over a beer whilst lounging on our new furniture. The John Lewis delivery guys made a complete shambles of getting two sets of bedroom drawers upstairs. Basically said they would never fit up the stairs without dismantling the house and wouldn’t be able to do it in the 10 mins they had allocated for the delivery!! Clarks came to the rescue when three of their team were in the area and with us within half an hour. As true professionals they managed to get the ‘impossible’ drawers up stairs and in position in less than 7 minutes. They packed up my stuff superbly and carefully. The move was very stressful in general and the only thing that wasn't was Clarks. The bank of England decided to have a day off so I didn't get the keys until late in the afternoon and they were so chilled about it. The lady who I was buying from had a disaster with her removal firm, they didn't show up. Clarks were waiting at the flat and rather than just sitting there, which they are perfectly entitled to do, they moved her stuff into a neighbour's garage. Talk about going above and beyond! I am sure she was grateful but so was I. It could have been a massive problem for me and they solved it before I even found out about it. That is just one example of the professionalism they displayed. I will always use Clarks to move from now on and will recommend them to everyone. Absolutely top class. I'm going to drop off some beers for them. Top tip, make sure that you have tea and coffee ready for them and offer it to them regularly. They will definitely earn it. You get what you pay for when it comes to removals and storage, and our storage lasted three months, in autumn. Nothing suffered from the period of storage, it was delivered to the Isle of Wight, in the same condition as it was collected from South Heath. They even went out of their way to collect some container plants that we had left with a neighbour. I have used many services like this before but Clarks of Amersham was the best by far.Their customer support through email was amazing, the price was beyond competitive (much much less than other quotes from other companies) and the packing was the best too. Adrian Beckwitha year agoAlthough not the cheapest quote we decided to choose Clarks of Amersham as a result of their good reviews, members of the British Association of Removers and Quality Assured Service Standards. I would highly recommend. Our survey was completed by Lee Cox, he was very professional throughout the survey and talked us through each process.On the day of the house removal, all four of the operatives that attended were punctual, engaging and friendly. I would like to personally thank Kevin and Harry, both had to travel all the way from London to our new address in the Highlands, Scotland. However, despite this very long journey they remained professional and cheerful throughout. I cannot recommend this company enough. The team that packed our house were professional, tidy and nothing was too much trouble (especially at the new property). To cap it all the price quoted was significantly cheaper than the other quotes we had. Hugo lemon2 years agoFantastic Service and work ethic.We had a large amount of items packed into our home and for 4 days they did not stop. Unfortunately the people whos home we were moving into did not have Clarks and had to leave items behind as they could not fit them in the van.
