Helping women achieve economic empowerment is our business!

Since inception, AWC has worked with over 200 groups (with an average of 15
members per group). 40 of the groups operate under the AWC umbrella, in Nairobi
and the Western region Counties comanding a revolving fund of over Kenya
Shillings 20 Million per annum.

A PLATFORM

TO ADVANCE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Afriwomen Connect was founded in 2016 as a platform to support women and youth
entrepreneurs and to help them advance their enterprises through training,
capacity building, networking, and linking them to opportunities.

COACHING AND MENTORSHIP

SENSITIVE TO OUR CLIENTS NEEDS

Helping ‘the Chamas’ transform into groups through registration, and setting up
operational structures and processes.

ORGANIZED GROUPS

TO CHANGE A NARRATIVE

AWC works with organized groups called ‘Chamas’.  Previously and even in some
quarters today, ‘a Chama’ is considered to be a place where women go to waste
time, gossip, and even where funds are stolen from members.

TRAIN TO BUILD CAPACITY

BRINGING YOU TOP VALUE

We help to form table banking groups and train the groups on the Table Banking
Concept.

RESEARCHED

BUILDING ON THE POSITIVE

AWC researched and believed in the positive aspects of organized groups and over
the last 6 years, we have put in a lot of work to make the Chamas a place to be
for women to network and learn.

ENTREPRENEURS

LINK THEM TO OPPORTUNITIES

We train women and youth groups in a wide range of topics including business
financial skills, leadership skills, investment, networking, tapping market
opportunities, etc.
