We booked a private charter for 11 people and had an amazing time. The captain
was very friendly and helpful. We loved the views of Portland, seeing seals in
the bay, and being able to both pedal or just take a break and take in the
views. The BayCycle is a unique experience. Our hour and a half went by very
quickly! We packed drinks and lunch and had a great time. Thank you, Maine

Our unique cycleboat offers a one-of-a-kind experience, bringing your team
together to power the cruise along Portland’s inner harbor.

Our cycleboat features ten pedaling stations and bench seating for five
additional passengers, accommodating up to 15 people in total. Cruises are 90
minutes long and depart from Bell Buoy Park, located on Commercial Street
between Flatbread Pizza and Casco Bay lines, in downtown Portland, Maine.

WHERE IS MAINE BAYCYCLE LOCATED?


Maine BayCycle picks up passengers at Bell Buoy Park, located on Commercial
Street in downtown Portland, Maine. More information can be found on the Contact
page.

CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINK?


Yes, passengers are allowed to bring beer, wine, soft drinks, and food. No hard
alcohol is permitted.

DO ALL PASSENGERS NEED TO BE 21+?


Yes, unless the boat is chartered for a private party. If you would like to
bring passengers under 21 otherwise, please call or email to set up a cruise.

DO I NEED TO BRING ICE?


No, there is ice provided in the built-in coolers.

IS THERE A BATHROOM?


There is no bathroom on board the vessel. Use of a nearby restroom before
boarding is strongly encouraged.

DO WE GET WET?


No, you are never in the water.

HOW MANY PEOPLE NEED TO PEDAL TO POWER THE BOAT?


The boat requires a minimum of six passengers. If the minimum is not met, your
tour may be rescheduled to a different time or date.

HOW HARD IS THE PEDALING?


Pedaling is as hard or easy as the group decides!

DO WE STEER THE BOAT?


No, the boat is controlled by a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain.

CAN I MOVE AROUND THE BOAT?


Yes. You are free to walk around the deck.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?


Dress appropriately for the weather. You are seated under a large canopy,
shielding you from direct sun and rain. It can get cool on the water, though, so
bringing a light jacket is a good idea.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A LIFE JACKET?


Life jackets are available on board but are not necessary.

IS THE BOAT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?


Yes, there is seating and deck space on the bow without pedal stations.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?


Cancellations fourteen days in advance are fully refundable. If a cruise is
canceled due to hazardous weather, it may be rescheduled at your convenience or
refunded. Hazardous weather includes thunderstorms and/or high wind.
