IG_01_08_01.1
There is a new firmware version available on the Web. It is also available
through the automatic firmware update process, which is a feature of these
printers. The version of this release is IG_01_08_01.1, and it includes one
improvement.
FIX INCLUDED WITH THIS VERSION
With this version of the firmware there has been a significant reduction in the
occurrence of the system errors 45.1:03 and 45.2:03.
FURTHER INFORMATION
We have seen that some printers can inconsistently display the system errors
45.1:03 and 45.2:03 while the printer is printing. These system errors indicate
an issue with the printer’s electrical communication with the rewinder system.
We highly recommend that customers upgrade to the firmware version IG_01_08_01.1
to solve and prevent this issue.
FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these steps to check for the latest firmware updates for your printer
using the HP website.
1. Make sure the printer is on and connected to the computer, either through
your local network or a USB cable.
2. Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
3. If a Let's identify your product to get started page displays, click
Printer, type your printer model number, and then click Submit.
The software results page for your printer displays with the default
operating system selected.
4. If you need to change the version of Windows, click Change, select your
version, and then click Change.
5. Click Firmware, and then click Download.
If a Firmware section is not listed, an update is not currently available
for your printer.
6. Save the file to your computer.
7. Locate and then open the file to start the installation process.
