Therefore I first had to head over to in Chrome, login with my Google account,
scroll all the way down and hit "CLEAR DATA" (which does reset all sync data,
including bookmarks etc.).ĭiscovered another setting! Right above "Password
Manager" there is "Signing in with Google" which has a "Google Account sign-in
prompts" setting ("Allow Google to offer a faster way to sign in with your
Google Account on supported third-party sites"). From what Ive gathered, even if
you disable the password manager, any previously stored passwords are still
available for use. In my special case I had some extra steps, because I was not
able to access the "Password Manager" because I apparently used it at some point
and would have needed my "Google Sync Passphrase" to get to the password
manager. We are in the process of disabling the Chrome password manager using
group policy. Tab the cogwheel in the top right > Disable "Offer to save
passwords"."Security" Tab > Scroll all the way down > "Signing in with Google" >
"Password Manager"."Google Account (Info, security & personalization)".In the
Passwords dialog that appears, hover over the site whose password youd like to.

Chrome will no longer prompt you to save passwords once youve done this. In the
Passwords and forms section, click the Manage passwords link. For me on a Moto
G9 with Android 10, the following worked: Step 5: Turn off the Offer to save
passwords option.
