     EXCELLENT LUXURY HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF KIGALI
     
     Marriot is amazing not only because of it's design, space, and décor but
     also due to the amazing staff. I had a great two weeks stay there. A couple
     of things could be improved to make this hotel a seamless experience for
     their guests. One of them is their shuttle service from the airport to the
     hotel. I had confirmation that I would get a shuttle on arrival at a fee of
     $40 , but there was no shuttle. I wasted an hour trying to get it sorted,
     and in the end I had to be dragged by a local cab driver outside the
     airport to his cab (quite scary, even though Kigali is relatively safe).
     The hotel was fully packed with conferences, and perhaps because of it,
     when I tried to order a late night meal, it did not go well. I had to give
     up close to 3.00 am after waiting close to 3 hours. To add another wrinkle
     to my stay, a colleague who I was supervising for the trip got access to
     the Executive Lounge, which was not offered to me, and I had to rely on him
     to be invited once ina while. I would also point out that for those staying
     longer than a few days, you may struggle with the wardrobe space. Not
     enough space to hang your wear or shelves for folded shirts and under wear.
     So I had to largely operate from the suitcase, which was not so nice. I did
     change a room halfway through the stay and the main power switch could only
     be operated from the bedside and could not be put off or on from the switch
     by the door. I found the wine to be a little expensive, at about $13 per
     glass for a house wine.

     Something happened during this survey that did not allow me to express
     surprise at two problems. First, with such a spectacular breakfast why do
     you have such cheap, insipid jams? One was labeled "marmalade" the other
     "peach" and they tasted almost the same. Second, some food choices were
     mislabeled. For example, what appeared to be dried cherries were labeled
     "black currants" one day and "raisins" another. Could be a problem for food
     allergies. Lastly, I don't think my room was vacuumed once during my stat.

     I visited with a group of friends for a week and the service we received
     was extremely poor! Everyone had complaints… from the front desk to room
     service etc This is very unlike the Kigali Marriot we had stayed a couple
     of times in the past… I hope they work on the quality of service being
