‘WHAT HAS BIDEN DONE?’ KRISTI NOEM LEAVES ‘CNN HOST SPEECHLESS’ ON BORDER CRISIS

CNN’s Dana Bash faced a rare moment of silence during a recent episode of “State
of the Union” as South Dakota’s Republican Governor, Kristi Noem, questioned
President Joe Biden’s actions amid the escalating border crisis. The discussion
focused on the ongoing clash between Texas officials and the Biden
Administration over the state’s border, with potential deals in Congress raising
concerns among GOP lawmakers.



Governor Noem asserted that GOP members would be open to discussing immigration
policies if Biden showed sincerity. She stressed that the president had the
power to take decisive action without the need for a deal, emphasizing the
urgency of addressing the chaotic asylum and detention processes.

Noem urged Biden to step up and make policy changes to secure the nation,
stating, “Change your policies. Build a wall. Secure the border, and then let’s
fix the immigration policy. But we don’t have to compromise one to do the
other.”



Bash probed further, underscoring the prolonged political stalemate on
immigration and pressing Noem to consider potential compromises.

Noem, however, reiterated the need for immediate action, claiming, “We’ve had
almost 10 million people come into our country, and we’ve got a lot of people
that have been on the terrorist watch list – dangerous criminals that are coming
into the United States.”



Bash, seemingly caught off guard, pressed Noem on why Republicans shouldn’t view
Biden’s negotiation as a victory. Noem responded by questioning Biden’s actual
policy initiatives and recounting conversations with Biden Administration
officials at the border, who allegedly expressed frustration with the
president’s restrictions on their duties.

The article continued to discuss ongoing attempts by Senate lawmakers to
formulate a deal addressing border crisis concerns, emphasizing the escalating
