CENTER FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION

Strengthening Innovation Ecosystems

The Center for Social Innovation (CSI) at the Asian School of Governance is an
interdisciplinary creative playground comprising over a dozen research groups,
initiatives, centers, and social labs working collaboratively on numerous
projects. We focus not only on creating and scaling innovations but also on
their potential impact on society for good.

OUR MISSION

At CSI, our mission is to drive social progress by fostering innovation and
collaboration across various sectors. We believe in the power of
interdisciplinary approaches to tackle complex social issues and work
relentlessly to develop solutions that are inclusive, effective, and
sustainable.



EXPLORE OUR LABS

Our portfolio of Social Labs is at the heart of CSI's work, each focusing on a
critical area of social impact. These labs serve as experimental spaces and
connected playgrounds where ideas are conceptualized, tested, refined, and
brought to scale.

Financial Inclusion Lab

 * Objective: Expand access to financial services for underserved populations.

 * Initiatives: Microfinance programs, digital banking solutions, financial
   literacy campaigns.

Zero Hunger Lab

 * Objective: Eradicate hunger and promote food security.

 * Initiatives: Sustainable agriculture projects, food distribution networks,
   nutritional education.

Blue Economy Lab

 * Objective: Harness the potential of oceans and coastal areas for sustainable
   economic growth.

 * Initiatives: Marine conservation, sustainable fisheries, blue tech
   innovations.

Primary Health Care Lab

 * Objective: Improve access to quality health care for all.

 * Initiatives: Telemedicine, community health worker training, health
   infrastructure development.

Education Impact Lab

 * Objective: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education.

 * Initiatives: Edtech solutions, teacher training programs, curriculum
   development.

And many more dedicated to areas such as renewable energy, urban development,
social entrepreneurship, and gender equality.
