WELCOME TO TAYLOR WARD

Welcome to Taylor Ward Ltd, a specialist Binding Authority broker based in
Ipswich in the UK. With clients located around the world, including the UK and
Australia, our focus is on providing a one-to-one service.

Whilst many of our clients are existing Lloyd’s Coverholders, we also welcome
those businesses seeking to become Lloyd’s Coverholders, offering guidance
through the process. At Taylor Ward Ltd, we are experienced in helping to
sponsor licensed firms in becoming accredited Lloyd’s Coverholders.




TAYLOR WARD CLIENTS

We have clients based in the UK and Australia, but have experience in helping
Lloyd’s Coverholders in other territories as well. Coverholders can be based
throughout the world, in any of the 100+ countries where Lloyd’s is fully
authorised to operate.

At Taylor Ward Ltd, we usually place insurance contracts, but we can also look
at reinsurance arrangements where it is appropriate to do so.

Once appointed, we source underwriting capacity in two main ways:

 1. For Coverholders operating as a Managing General Agency (MGA)

 2. For licensed brokers operating a Binding Authority under Lloyd’s Coverholder
    status.

We are happy to work with clients that are having problems finding capacity,
that require additional capacity, where they are looking for a fresh approach,
or just wish to expand their product offering and underwrite new classes.

Capacity is predominantly sourced from syndicates operating within Lloyd’s of
London, but we also source other underwriting capacity where it makes sense to
do so.

The terms of the contract are set out in a Binding Authority Agreement. This is
a confidential document individual to each client / Coverholder and referenced
with a Unique Market Reference (UMR).
