JOB DESCRIPTION

Data is our future. 90 percent of all data today was created in the last two
years and this trend will only accelerate. With the advent of AI, autonomous
cars and data science, all of the data infrastructure we have built until now
will need to be doubled in the next five years. Can you think of the
possibilities? The Vancouver ASIC team develops SoCs which power next generation
NAND Solid State Drives (SSD) – a key enabler for our data hungry future. Modern
ASICs have grown exponentially more complex in order to enable greater
functionality, to push the limits of performance and to use less power.
Nevertheless, ASIC design and verification must absorb and adapt to this growth
because high quality ASICs are crucial for success.

In order to meet this challenge, the Vancouver SoC team is hiring aggressively
for all aspects of ASIC design and verification.  Engineers with any level of
experience, from new grads, to senior technical leads, are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate(s) could be responsible for any number of tasks
throughout the ASIC development cycle, from micro-architectural definition and
documentation, to RTL design, verification, physical implementation and customer
support .

A verification-focused ASIC engineer will hold a central role in ensuring that
the SoC meets the quality needs and requirements of our internal and external
customers.  You will work closely with a wide variety of system disciplines (SoC
designers, micro-architects, firmware etc.) in order to understand the use cases
and to create a test and execution plan that ensures that Solidigm’s products
will be successful.   The Solidigm verification team uses industry-standard
methodologies such as UVM, embedded C-based FW co-simulation, and formal
property verification, and are continuously investigating new tools and
technologies.  Motivated engineers will have many opportunities to lead and
innovate.
