From brand new items to antique pieces, our volunteers put new “treasures” out
for sale everyday! Items that have been in the store quite awhile may have a RED
line through the price meaning it’s 50% OFF!

 

 

 ALL PROCEEDS HELP SUPPORT ALL THE WONDERFUL SERVICES OF THE HUNTERDON
HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION.

 

One special lady, came by our market
To see what she could find,
She comes by every week to shop,
Or drop off treasures to leave behind.

There is one special piece she looks at,
That one big splurge it would be,
While she searches each room in wonder,
She discovers that perfect set for tea!

Her special piece is missing,
She saw it there just last week!
If only she’d acted faster,
That splurge would be hers to keep.

Now there’s no need to break your Piggy Banks,
Those piggies are just too darn cute,
So we’ve decided to always have a special sale,
Oh boy now isn’t that a hoot!

We would also like to thank you,
For donations large and small,
We’re proud to be part of this great community
for the “Foundation” helps us all!

ALL THESE GREAT ITEMS HAVE BEEN DONATED BY FAMILIES ALL AROUND HUNTERDON COUNTY.
PROCEEDS HELP SUPPORT SERVICES AND PROGRAMS AT HUNTERDON MEDICAL CENTER AND
OFFSITE LOCATIONS.

COME MEET THE CREATIVE AND HELPFUL VOLUNTEERS THAT LARGELY STAFF THE STORE AND
GO ON YOUR OWN “TREASURE HUNT”!

Yesterday’s Treasures, an upscale resale shop, is a non-profit high-end resale
shop that helps support the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation, which is the
fundraising organization for the Hunterdon Healthcare System.

Your donations and purchases help to support the Foundation’s mission to assist
Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC) and its affiliated non-profit organizations, such
as Hunterdon Regional Community Health and Hunterdon Hospice, in fulfilling
their mission to meet the community’s need for high-quality healthcare. The shop
is largely staffed by passionate and knowledgeable volunteers and has a wide
variety of unique furniture, home décor, artwork, jewelry, glass, china, and
pottery sets.

Walking into Yesterday’s Treasures is like entering a treasure hunt where you
will find everything you never knew you needed! It is also a wonderful shop to
find gifts for friends and loved ones.

Donations come from our community family, whether from estates, downsizing, or
“time for a change” homes from Hunterdon and surrounding counties. We have
received precious donations that hold fond family memories, such as that
beautiful pecan breakfront that Mom would never let you touch as a child. These
items are then sold to customers searching for their next “do it yourself”
project, that missing piece of the dish set, or the perfect piece of artwork to
complete a room. One mother and soon-to-be mother-in-law went on the search for
129 different and unique china dinner plates and flatware that would be the
table setting for their son and daughter’s barn style wedding. The wedding
party’s table would be set with the bride’s “great grandmother’s” full china
set. Many of the entertainment centers that can no longer store large
flat-screen TVs are now being repurposed into a hutch with hooks and baskets for
the mudroom or have shelves added for a beautiful display piece or gift wrapping
center.

For items that are donated to the store that doesn’t get plucked by a buyer, the
life cycle of “giving” remains in motion. We are consistently looking for other
local charities’ that can better use these items for the county’s neediest
members or families. We are also looking for local business partners interested
in donating goods or services to the shop. If you are interested in donating

We are thrilled to partner with “College Hunks Hauling Junk” based in
Hillsborough NJ.  They will come to your home and give you an estimate on moving
large donations to us – or just moving out all the junk you no longer need
(summer cleaning…hint…hint).
