SUNDAY PREVIEW – A SOUPÇON OF CHAOS IN THE OLD WORLD





As we struggle to catch a breather underneath the warpstone fog across the
Mortal Realms, next week’s releases comprise a classic Chaos Made to Order for
Warhammer: The Old World. Not that you’ll have much time, with Warhammer 40,000:
Space Marine 2 out tomorrow.




WARRIORS OF CHAOS MADE TO ORDER





Hear that rhythmic thudding? That’s the sound of the great hordes of Chaos
descending from the north, ready to scour the land for the Dark Gods. Grim times
approach, but they bring some more classic miniatures. 

Four veterans of the Ruinous Powers will be available on a Made to Order basis.
The Sorcerer Lord on Chaos Steed, a Chaos Daemon Prince with Sword, Daemon
Prince with Axe, and a truly revolting Chaos Spawn. All of these miniatures are
made from metal, and as Made to Order products they will be available from 10am
local time on Saturday the 14th of September, until 8am BST on Monday the 23rd
of September.




THE TWICE-DEAD KING COLLECTION



The disgraced Lord Oltyx was once heir to the throne of an entire Necron
dynasty, now relegated to commanding a dwindling garrison against a neverending
Ork horde. These truculent warriors are harbingers of an even greater threat,
and to save his dynasty, Oltyx – with the help of his neatly demarcated
personalities – must travel back to his former crownworld and face a terrible
horror rooted in the origins of the Necrons themselves.



The Twice-dead King Collection collects Nate Crowley’s two novels Twice-dead
King: Ruin and Twice-dead King: Reign, plus the novella Severed, and the short
stories One Million Years, The Life of Jethras the Martyr, and Patience, in
three volumes which each contain an author introduction. These volumes have
brown ribbon bookmarks and contain full-colour art of the original covers, and
they are displayed in a luxury slipcase. This collection is only available while
stocks last. Twice-dead King: Ruin is signed by the author. 



If you want a simple, out-of-the-box Warhammer experience, or know someone would
love to be introduced to the hobby, we’ve got you covered with three brilliant
introductory products. These are available from Barnes and Noble in North
America, and selected retail chains in Germany – but not from Warhammer.com.






The Warhammer Age of Sigmar Beginner Set and Space Marine Adventures: Tyranid
Attack! both contain push-fit miniatures which don’t require clippers or glue to
assemble. They are the ideal introductory products for people who want to dip a
toe into the Warhammer hobby. 

The miniatures Blitz Bowl Ultimate Second Edition will need some clippers, but
you’ll be rewarded with a fast-paced sports game that’s nominally about scoring
touchdowns, but really more about making your opponent’s team eat dirt. 



With a new edition of Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team sneaking up on us, this week’s
episode of Loremasters is all about the Tempestus Aquilions, specialised
Imperial operatives who perform rapid drop insertions on grav-chutes. 



Over on Battle Report two legendary commanders are going up against in an Open
Play battle, and we don’t mean Nick and Simon. The Leagues of Votann led by
Ûthar the Destined clash with a T’au Empire force led by none other than
Commander Farsight himself. 

Speaking of Kill Team, next week on Warhammer Community we’ll be taking a quick
look at all of the Kill Teams that you can play in the new edition, alongside a
new miniature reveal for Blood Bowl…
