With a combination of Scenario Analysis, Predictive Analytics and Monte Carlo
Simulation the participants will learn how to build budget or long range models
that provides unbiased outcome and allow the participants to have a
probabilistic discussion with its decision makers.

The module is a combination of lecture, demo’s and case studies and will teach
how to improve forecasting, budgeting and long range planning through the use of
advanced analytics techniques.

Module 6 Summary

This module provides the strategic framework to advance your organization from a
hindsight looking reporting center to a forward looking Analytics Powerhouse
from developing your soft and hard skillset.

The participants will get grounded on how to build an analytics culture into
their business partnering approach as well as understanding the emerging
skillset and toolbox required to become a world class Analytics Business
Partner.

The module is a combination of lecture, case studies and full class workshops
where students will bring back home a proven framework to start their
transformation towards world class business partnering in the 2020s.

But before starting that journey it is important to understand where you are
today and where you aspire to be in the future. Each student will receive an
individual assessment containing…

1. Readiness… to build an analytics culture
2. Capabilities… skillset and toolbox for world class partnering

…describing where they are today and lay out the journey for how you get to
where they want to be in the future.

Module 5 Summary

Are you drowning in data but starving for insight? This module takes the
students through an analytics journey starting with an understanding of basic
statistics and how to apply the right techniques to generate insight and
foresight that business stakeholders use for data driven decisions.

The module is a combination of lecture and demo’s, where students will learn
Diagnostic Analytics techniques (Correlations, Clusters, etc.) to find deeper
patterns in data to generate real insight. From there the module will further
advance into Predictive Analytics to understand the concept of unbiased
forecasting to challenge the business stakeholders on their future projections.

We will end the module with an understanding and demo of the power of AI-Enabled
Analytics to find insight from Big Data Analytics, that you cannot find in
excel, Data Visualization Tools or Desktop statistical tool.

×
Module 4 Summary

Start transforming your career today by learning AI-Enabled analytics for
forecasting, predicting, reporting, and analysis to find insights not available
from spreadsheets, BI, visualization, and budgeting tools that will elevate your
skills and enhance your career advancement.

This module has four parts.

1) You will join other participants to learn the basics of Systematic Thinking™
to exploit data and LightZ fundamentals.

The next three classes are 1:1 sessions with an instructor using your data to
train you how to build, change, and load data into models and the features of
forecasting, prediction, and reporting to gain insights.

2) You will experience, first-hand, the insights available from analytics with
your own data. You will bring your own data for applications of statistical
drivers for planning and flex budgeting, demand planning, forecasting,
supply-chain disconnects, correlations with leading indicators, trend
predictions, product portfolio management, promotion timing, predictive sales
closures, etc.

3) You will gain much deeper insights into your own data by using One-Touch™ AI
forecasting and learn how to approach forecasting to obtain the highest levels
of reliability.

4) We’ll further explore your own data with predictive reporting with
correlations and leading indicators, charting, and dashboarding then introduce
statistical forecasting, and statistically significant drivers for planning,
normalizing comparisons, and finding revenue opportunities.

This module will enable you to be hands-on with the premiere Aurora LightZ™
AI-Enabled analytics tool that will be available in a free version for the
students after the academy too.

Module 3 Summary

Insights come from an ability to think about how to approach data analysis.
There are many sources of data. ERP, CRM, BI, EPM, POS to name a few. However,
Finance, Ops, Sales, Marketing, Business Analytics, and support groups like
Strategy, IT and HR that need to analyze data are challenged to exploit these
data sources to uncover insights for better decisions because of two predominate
reasons;

1. They are relegated to spreadsheets that limit the size of the data and
analytics that can be productively performed.
2. Its personnel lacks the skills to systematically approach the analysis of
data.

This course is focused on the latter weakness to enable students to think
“systematically” to exploit data for high value insights, regardless of the tool
being used. Systematic thinking also extends to assembling/cleaning data that’s
needed to make meaningful analyses. This course will further provide basics in
AI and ML, tools and techniques for unbiased forecasting and budgeting
throughout finance and operations.

Module 2 Summary

This module takes the students on an analytics journey on how to transform data
to insights and telling the “compelling” story that business stakeholders use
for data driven decisions. The module will also cover the importance of
benchmarking and describe how to “sell” the analytics culture to stakeholders.

You can only go so far with Excel, after which other tools for deeper insights
are required. We explore tools and techniques for deeper insight, better
forecasting, as well as, practical examples of advanced analytics for data
driven decisions.

If you cannot tell a “story” that leads to a decision it is worth nothing. Too
often, too much time is spent to make “pretty” dashboards that add no value to
decisions, or produce statistical reports that confuse executives. We will
explore a framework to tell a “story” that gives insights without overwhelming
with details or complexity.

When advancing hard and soft skills like insightful analytics and storytelling
it is crucial to understand ‘where you are’ today and ‘where you aspire to be’
in the future. As such, this session provides each student with a very unique
hard and soft skill assessment and benchmark for its capabilities as an
Analytics Business Partner.

When starting the analytics journey you need to gain buy-in from your leader or
business stakeholders. We will end the module by providing the framework for how
to “sell” the ‘Culture of Analytics for Data Driven Decisions’.

Module 1 Summary

Many executives and managers have a vision for analytics, however, the
implementation often eludes or delays due to a lack of details or the ability to
express to others the cross-connections and value propositions.

The Academy will crystallize and articulate the Roadmap to implement an
analytics culture for data driven decisions to give clarity and voice to the
four main components of Mindset, People, Process, and Systems. These components
must align for a successful analytics implementation.

You’ll learn to know and avoid the common mistakes and misconceptions to
establish an analytics culture; understand the applications of advanced
analytics, predictions, forecasting, AI, and ML; see the linkage of data and
decisions; measure yourself against best practices and the ROI of successful
analytics; and come to realize that analytics is not hard, long, or expensive…
It is simply disciplined.

This module builds the needed “take home” capabilities to utilize and implement
analytics. We start with the “How To” implement your first analytics project
then to tackle the first issue of gaining bandwidth for analytics by cutting the
65% to 85% of time currently spent on data capture and report compilation. Next,
you can only go so far with Excel, after which other tools for deeper insights
are required. We explore tools and techniques for unbiased forecasting, as well
as, practical examples of advanced analytics for better decisions throughout
finance and operations that increase forecast accuracy and forecast horizon. We
will also develop skills to tell a “story” to decision makers. Too often, too
much time is spent to make “pretty” dashboards that add no value to decisions,
