devotional points made really are based on the Greek which what makes this
series stand out from other devotionals. Studying Greek can just be an
exciting mental exercise but these books ground us and remind us of the real
reason we are doing that study. I loved the challenge of the train of thought
presented in "When a sinner refuses to listen".

Perhaps my evaluation is too harsh. Yes, it is subjective. I had high
expectations about this volume, because I have read the first devotional
edited by Duvall and Verbrugge, so my disappointment is great. I wouldn't be
honest if I would miss to praise some of contributers of this volume as Lorin
Cranford, Paul Jackson, etc., who made superb articles. Though such articles
here are few. Content of volume seems too general and obvious. For example,
article "When a Sinner Refuses to Listen" is simply disgusting. With such
labels we could dress every abuser and militant hater with sheeplike skin of
poor sinner we have to love and love again, ignoring evil they are doing.
These general articles are about diverse, well known, theological ideas and
really they are not about the Greek.
I hope the third volume will be more devoted to the beauty of Greek grammar
hidden in the translation. Without that such devotionals are useless.
