Question DatabaseFeed me your brain...

We have started collecting questions from the Suikoden community which will be
answered by me (Vextor). The answer will be provided along with source material.

Some of you may remember the 500 questions and answers topics I ran at Gamefaqs
which is currently availble here. This new database aims to be a much more
organized version.

Once we have a good number of questions that have been answered we'll have it
connected to the main site so people can see the results. Hopefully this
database will grow and be useful through sorting, searching and categorizing
questions that you the community are interested in.

If you would like to help out by putting forth any question relating to
Suikoden, simply click here to submit a question.

Suikofact #19: Master Sauro of the Howling Voice Guild helped Nash Latkje find
his father's killer by analyzing bones that belonged to Nash's father, resulting
in the realization that he was poisoned with the Zodiac Tower poison.

August 21st, 2008 -- Pronunciation Archive Updated
Thanks to a submission by a suikoden fan from France, we have more entries in
the pronunciation archive. Hopefully this will quell all the complaints I get
from French people who say iscalio's pronunciation isn't "true French" or
whatever. Yeah, I hope they never bother me again.

July 11th, 2008 -- Beginning a New Questions and Answers Database
We have started collecting questions from the Suikoden Community (that's you)
which will be answered by the staff at Suikox (that's me). If you've ever
wondered the fate of a specific character, wanted to know the tinyest detail of
that little town or was curious about anything relating to Suikoden, now's your
chance to ask! Simply click on this link to submit a question which will then be
answered by me. Once we have a good number of them we'll connect it to the main
web site.

May 22nd, 2008-- Barows Family Legacy
Wow, an update! This has been sitting around for a while waiting for some final
touches (for months). This article details the Barows family and attempts an
amateurish psycho-analysis of each member of this messed up family.

February 6th, 2008-- The Mystery of "L'Renouille"
It's been a mystery for a long time and we've always accepted it as one of those
secrets we'd never understand. Until recently this was accepted as fact. Of
course, there's more to this name than originally thought. Read the editorial
and find out the origins of this fabled city. If you have any feedback, post
about it on the forums!

July 11th, 2007-- Don't Worry About Suikoden VI
A new editorial has been uploaded. This time, the topic is whether Suikoden VI
will every be released. Of course, my answer is a loud "of course they will make
Suikoden VI!" Read the editorial and see why I think that way. If you have any
feedback, feel free to say something in the forum!

February 14th, 2007-- Webring Updated Again
There's been some backlog for new additions to the webring, and a number new
sites have been approved and added to the webring. Please take a look at these
sites, Due Fiumi in particular, run by my friend and suikox community memberJohn
Layfield (he is the Nation Leader of the Dukedom of Gaien in our games). It's a
new in-depth info site that already has a mountain of information! If you
experience any problem with the webring, please notify me at admin@suikox.com.

February 13th, 2007-- Mechanics of Runic Power
We have a new editorial written by one of our community members, Kalidor!
Please take a look at it, and if you have any feedback, feel free to say
something in the forum!

February 11th, 2007-- Webring Updated
The Webring has had some technical problems, and it was also cluttered with dead
sites. I cleared out the dead sites, so it should be showing sites that are
current and active.
If you are an owner of a Suikoden site (and it must be a full site, not just a
forum), please submit your site information via the "Join Us" link available on
our webring console.
On a separate note, suikox.com has completed its move to our new host, and
everything is shaping up to be better!

February 1st, 2007-- We're Moving! Forum will be down for a while
Suikox is moving to a new home, right next to Suikosource in a better place.
We're leaving yahoo which has been our home for years, but their machines can no
longer handle us. Anyhow, because of this the forums will be offline for a few
hours, but even after that it may take a longer time for DNS entries around the
world to get updated with the new suikox.com DNS. Certain parts of the world may
experience disconnect to suikox for 48 hours, so I apologize in advance.

December 18th, 2006-- New Speculation
After quite a bit of silence, we have a new speculation. Lucretia is Hugo's Dad
has been written by one of our anonymous members, and is available for everyone
to read. Have fun!

November 16th, 2006-- French Complaint + Spoiler Restriction Removed
Now that enough time has passed since Suikoden V has been released in PAL
regions, Suikoden V discussion will be allowed in all forums within the suikox
boards. Also, I have received numerous complaints from French suikoden fans
regarding the pronounciation archive. If you are French, and can pronounce
French the "right way," feel free to send me a voice clip to the e-mail address
available at the bottom of this page.

November 4th, 2006-- Suikox forum is go
Okay, after a Friday evening spent on fixing the problem, and with awesome help
from Blasphemy, I managed to repair the database. I believe we didn't lose
anything, and the forum is functioning once again. I also learned a lot during
this debacle, so if something similar happens again, I should be able to fix it
much faster. Enjoy.

November 3rd, 2006 #2-- Update
I have the forum back up, but havn't been able to retrieve data between November
1st and 2nd. I'll try a few other things and test the forums, and if it seems
like I can't recover the lost 23 hours of data, I'll just open the forums again.
Good thing I had a backup.

November 3rd, 2006-- Forum will be down for a while
Okay, I'll admit that I probably messed things up quite severely. I may have to
work off of a backup to fix the database. Fortunately, the last backup I have is
from November 1st, and I also have 100% of all posts, topics, etc kept up until
when the database died a few hours ago. I've just been a little bit too much
under pressure to get the forums working ASAP, and I used some sloppy methods to
fix problems. I'm really sorry guys, especially for the NaNoWriMo folks who are
writing their novels on my forum. Sorry to the Harmonia Online refugees as well
who I just told suikox would would welcome them after their forums shut down.

Anyhow, currently the database is in a condition that can't even be fixed. It'll
require help from my host, and after that I'd probably have to use the Novermber
1st backup and paste on other bits and pieces of data I've salvaged. In the end,
the only loss should be members who have registered in the last day or so
(Creepy Winger Sid! Sorry dude! Please register again!).

I'll completely disconnect the forum until I get it fixed so my error log
doesn't get filled up. This problem won't get fixed very soon. It will take at
least this entire weekend, so please don't bother checking back every 30 minutes
or anything. Again, I apologize.

November 2nd, 2006-- Forum Down again
In the process of trying to fix a reported problem, I ended up damaging the
database. Nothing was lost (because I backed everything up), but I'll need my
host to help me out with reconnecting the database to the main site. It will
probably take a day or so before the forum can get back up. Sorry for the
inconvenience.

November 1st, 2006-- Forum Down for a bit
There's a minor database issue which I'm fixing right now.
The forums should be back up within a day or so. You can blame me for this
because I was trying to fix something the wrong way. Nothing has been lost
whatsoever, just in case you think this is some database meltdown. Meanwhile,
please enjoy your life doing something else, such as learning a new recipe or
discovering a new method to manufacture fuel cell catalysts.
August 26th, 2006-- If You Can't Access the Forums...
If you can't access the forums after the databse explosion, the problem is
either...

* Your account was created after June 14th, in which case your account no longer
exsists. In this case, please re-create your account and after you have
activated your account, send me a private message about it along with your
previous name (if you chose a new name) and what nation you were a member of.
I will then see if I have records of your account and restore the old info.

* Your account had a different name back then. Because the database explosion
sent us back into June 14th, if you had a different name back then, you'd have
to use that name to log in. We'll repair your name at zero cost. Contact
  Axiose by private message.

* Your account had a different password back then. Because the database
explosion sent us back into June 14th, if you had a different password back
then, you'd have to use that password to log in. If you don't remember your
password, then plese use the "forgot your password?" link to have the forum
send you a new temporary password. None of the admins can see your password,
  they're encrypted.

* Your account had a different password back then and a different password. This
is a messier case, becasue if you had a different password which you can't
remember, and also had your account registetred to another e-mail address
which you no longer have control over, you can't get a temporary password
e-mailed to you even if you use the "forgot your password?" link. In that
case, send an e-mail to admin@suikox.com to have your account tweaked so that
a new e-mail address can be given to the account. After that, you can use the
"forgot your password?" link to activate your account.

August 19th, 2006-- Forum Down Update
Well, it seems like we have the worst scenario. Yahoo seems to have deleted the
the forum's user data (somehow). I'll try to reconstruct the forum as much as I
can using backups, but likely we'll ltwo months of activity. The forum is
currently up, but it may look very strange, because two months of data has been
wiped out.

August 18th, 2006-- Forum Down
Due to a problem with permissions setting with our forum's database (probably
happened because our host updated our SQL version), our forums are unavailable
at this point. I have no idea when this can be fixed, because I don't have shell
access to the database server. I've contacted my host (yahoo geocties) about
this a couple times, but they havn't responded yet (it's annoying that they have
no phone support for mySQL related issues). If you wish to help, e-mail
wh-php@yahoo-inc.com with a message that says something like, "Please fix the
permissions for the mySQL database at suikox.com" or something.

August 8th, 2006-- Theirstar.com takes asylum at Suikox
Due to their host (godaddy.com) suddenly cancelling their service, the noted
Suikoden fan site, theirstar.com, will be temporarily moving into the suikox
server until they find a new home. Their URL during their stay here would be
http://theirstar.suikox.com, so please update your bookmarks as such until the
problem is resolved. If you have never visited their site, Theirstar has a lot
of unique content, and is regularly updated as well (much more than how suikox
gets updated these days!). Take a peek!

July 28th, 2006-- Suikoden to be featured in Pop'n Music 13
DengekiPS announced that the next sequel to the popular Japanese game, Pop'n
Music 13, will feature the Prince of Falena for the song "Queen's Knight."

Although Pop'n Music has never been sold outside Japan, at least we know
Konami's still marketing Suikoden in one way or another (which means the series
is not dead yet!). The image posted here is how the prince will look like in
Pop'n Music (Click on the image for the actual magazine page).

July 27th, 2006-- Konami Opens Fansite
In a surprise move, Konami Digital Entertainment has opened a fansite dedicated
to KonamiRPGs. This is likely a move to increase the fanbase for Konami RPGs,
which is indeed lacking. The site is called "Konami RPG Stars," and allows
members to participate in various tasks to gain "stars." After you get a certain
number of stars, you can get free stuff. The effect is that Konami can recruit
zealous fans and use them as free marketing labor, and who wouldn't gladly give
their blood to help spread the word of Suikoden? So yes, please join their site
through this link--
(On another note, my username there is "Melanchthon," so make sure you put me in
the "refered user" field when you register! Also, clicking on the above link
helps me gain points!)

May 4th, 2006-- Slowness Resolved & New Editorial
The slowness at this site which plagued us for a few months has been resolved. I
was able to locate a particular script that was draining performance like a
mini-black hole. The site should be loading faster, especially the forums. Also,
a new editorial is up written by guest writer UberYuber!

March 15th, 2006-- Suikoden V Review!
Having had enough time to play Suikoden V, I wrote a spoiler-free review for
Suikoden V. Please take a loot at it Here!

February 23rd, 2006-- Suikoden V Released in Japan!
Suikoden V has been released in Japan! I have a copy in my hand as we speak (I
am in Japan right now), and will post a review once I am completely finished
with the game. Unfortunately, my play time is rather limited, so it may take a
week or two before I can finish the game.

February 7th, 2006-- Island Nations Profile
The Island Nations portion of the Geography guide has been in an apalling
condition for some time, but I finally finsihed it. Credit for the work goes to
John Layfield and Weyoun. Thanks guys!

February 5th, 2006-- Webmasters! Join the Webring!
With a suggestion from a few members, I put together a webring program. I
managed to finish it, as you can see on the left side. This is for Suikoden
sites only, but if you own one, make sure to register! When you register, you
will get an e-mail with HTML code you can paste on your own page (I'll approve
your page after I see the webring console on your page). What's cool about this
webring script is that you get a random blurb about one of the sites! Cool huh!?

February 4th #2, 2006-- New Suikoden V Trailer Translated
Thanks to our forum member Pesmerga, we have access to a new trailer, which I
then translated! Do a right click and "Save link as" for the AVI version here or
the MPG version here. The AVI version is about three times lighter than the MPG
version, but some programs can handle AVI. If you can read AVI, please download
the AVI one so I don't have to bleed from my wallet. Enjoy.

February 4th, 2006-- Structural Change Completed
The painful process of turning this site from an HTML site into a PHP site has
been completed, and now we can finally resume more regular updates for the site!
Along with it comes some new stuff, such as the new editorial by guest writer
Ice, and a better proof-read character list and relics list. There's still a lot
of work to get done, but the new format makes things much easier. Stay tuned for
more!

November 18th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Package Art? and Returning Character Images
The V Jump for next week included the following images (fans at 2ch.net in Japan
got a hold of a copy in advance). In it, you can see Lorelai, Killey, and Viki.
You can also see what appears to be the package illustration. [Image 1] [Image
2].

November 16th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Scenario Writer Revealed
7dream.com, the online retailing site of Japan's Seven Eleven revealed the
scenario writer for Suikoden 5 (most likely a PR blunder) among other new
information. The scenario writer is Kazuyoshi Tsugawa, his most notable work
being "Eternal Arcadia" (aka "Skies of Arcadia" in the USA). Read more at this
thread!

November 6th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Character List!!
I have been compiling a list of characters we have seen from the trailer, along
with info I have gathered from various sources in Japan. Please take a look at
it here!

October 10th, 2005-- Rhapsodia (Suikoden Tactics) Review
I finially finished playing Rhapsodia (Japanese title for Suikoden Tactics), and
here is the review!

October 6th, 2005-- Massive Structural Changes Coming
Just letting ervybody know that the site is being slowly changed from HTML into
PHP to make information more database-oriented rather than having text just
plastered everywhere haphazardly. This is a pretty huge undertaking considering
the massive amount of text on this site. What this would acheive is a uniform
look to the site, faster load time, and adding new content would be easier.
Basically, I'm preparing suikox for the onslaught of new info that'd have to be
uploaded after Suikoden Tactics is released in the USA, and we can't forget
about Suikoden 5. Fortunately, I have 5 other people helping me with this
process, so things are going smoothly. The entire site will shift from HTML to
PHP at the same time, because it's impossible to do this incrimentally. Until
this is done, there won't be much updates on the site itself. For most people,
the change from HTML to PHP won't be noticable at all.

September 18th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Translated Trailer!
I translated the 10 minute trailer that was available at gamespot. The quality
is less than the original trailer, but at least you will understand what is
being said. The movie is located HERE. PLEASE download it by right clicking with
your mouse and choosing "save link as." The movie is about 33 megs, and if
people stream something that heavy from this site, my bandwidth will be drained
pretty fast! I'm sure I will run out of bandwidth by the end of the month, but
once things get dangerous, I this movie will be passed onto suikosource. Enjoy!

September 17th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Opening Movie!
Konami has released an opening movie at their official site (limited time only).
They have it "streaming only," but I ripped it out and put it HERE. It'll be
best if you download it by right clicking with your mouse and choosing "save
link as." Then you can view at at your leisure. The movie looks pretty good!
Enjoy!

September 16th, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Info from TGS
Japanese fans at TGS are reporting their finds, and I have summarized what I
have found so far in the forums HERE. To make a brief mention... 6 member
parties are BACK, and the Skills System is BACK, and one returning character has
been confirmed. Things are looking really good so far!

September 15th, 2005-- Suikoden 1&2 Announced for PSP
Konami is on a roll. They have just announced on their official site that
"Suikoden 1&2" will be released for the PSP as one game. Details on whether this
will be a remake or a simple port to a different console is unknown at this
moment, but the game will be shiowcased during the TGS that is going on as we
speak. The future of the series is bright!

September 2nd, 2005 #2-- Suikoden 5 Article Translation!
I translated the article and posted it in the forum HERE. Enjoy!

September 2nd, 2005-- Suikoden 5 Announced!
In a stunning move, Suikoden 5 has been announced on the Shonen Jump magazine in
Japan. Take a look at a scan of the article. The game will take place in the
Queendom of Falena (Finally!) and the main character is the prince of Falena
(pictured to the left -- yes, he is not female). His mother is Arshtat Falenas,
the Queen of Falena. The other young girl pictured is Rion, the prince's
bodyguard. The timeframe of Suikoden 5 is yet unknown. I'll translate more of
the article later today, so hang tight.

August 24th, 2005-- Rhapsodia Trailer
Konami released an official trailer at their Japanese official site. I used a
media file editor to add translations to this trailer, and the result is
available HERE. Feel free to download the entire MPG file so you can look at it
on your computer without getting delays from lousy streaming (and also to save
my bandwidth). The trailer is a whopping 3 and 1/2 minutes long!

August 1st, 2005-- New Rhapsodia Info
Konami released promotional trailers to Japanese retailers. Japanese fans have
been reporting their findings at various forums. I have translated these
findings. Here is a link to the translation I made.

July 10th, 2005-- Rhapsodia Official Package Revealed
As you can see above, Rhapsodia's original package has been revealed (on a major
Japanese online retailer's website called Tsutaya). The girl in the center with
horns is yet identified, but we've seen her in various screenshots, and has been
rumored to be a character who has deep involvement with the plot. It seems like
this package confirms that.

July 6th, 2005-- Rhapsodia Release Date + Date Transfer
Thet Japanese Gensui Kouryaku Shinsyo fansite reports that the release date for
Rhapsodia has been confirmed to be September 22nd, 2005. No release dates
outside Japan has been confirmed yet. Also, data transfer has been confirmed, so
you'll probably be able to load data from Suikoden 4 into Rhapsodia.
Furthermore, the game will apparently come with some other gizmo's such as
soundtracks. Hopefully, they'll bring those to markets outside Japan as well.

June 24th, 2005-- Rhapsodia Intro Text
Some text that reveals the backdrop of Rhapsodia has been revealed at a Japanese
new site. Here is a link to the translation I made.

June 18th, 2005-- New Editorial
We have another editorial featuring Hikusaak and related Harmonian jib-jab,
written by guest writer Sai Fujiwara. He's a very active member in our forums,
and has some deep ideas concerning this topic. I also removed the extremely
heavy Rhapsodia promo, but you can still get to it from the link below (June
11th entry). No new info about Rhapsodia yet, but apparently new info will be
included in the June 21st version of V-Jump, so we may hear of some new info
soon. I'll keep y'all posted!.

June 11th, 2005-- Rhapsodia Promo Flash
I made a promo flash movie for Rhapsodia based on all the information I can get
via various sources. I have it playing on the site, but you can see a larger
version here.

June 9th, 2005-- Suikoden: Rhapsodia Announced
Konami has announced a new tactical RPG, Suikoden: Rhapsodia! Here is a
screenshot, courtesty of iscalio.
The game takes place right after the plotline of Suikoden 4, and centers around
rune cannons. I will update later with translations of the article. The game is
set to be released in Japan in Fall 2005.

May 29th, 2005-- New Editorial
Myaru, a noted Suikoden fan, has written a piece about the enigmatic Hikusaak.
The piece is very well-written, and sounds a lot more intelligent than the tripe
that I write. Please take a look and be amazed with the type of intellect that
Suikoden fans can have!

April 28th, 2005-- Character List Updates
After much help from forum Kobold, many character entries were fixed, and
missing entries from past games have been added. These characters are: Gabocha,
Hallec, Hans, Mekumeku, Mokumoku, Mukumuku, Wang, Yuber, The Flame Champion,
Mina (the cat), Momo, Sara Blight, Teo McDohl, and Thomas (the boy from Nor).

April 27th, 2005-- I know KUNG FU
Just kidding, I know Flash-- quite suddenly, too. You can probably tell from all
the music and graphics going on, it is surely a cool gadget. Anyhow, it is a
flash movie that promotes the war thingie in the suikox forum.

April 26th, 2005-- A day of minor tweakings
Thanks to help from veteran Suikoden fan, El Regrs, I have fixed many html
problems with the timeline I updated a few days ago. I have also tweaked the
index page (this page). As you can see, I changed the link text for the
character list and relics section to "fixed width font" so you can click on it
easier. It also looks more structured and pretty, won't you say? Furthermore, I
moved the random tidbit generator to a better location, because it was awkwardly
stuck at the top and was becoming an eyesore. Oh yes, and I added a button that
takes you to the Firefox website. I use Firefox, and it's pretty much the only
browser I use to test this site. I think it is a wonderful browser, but also, it
seems like this site can look somewhat "off" if you view it with Internet
Explorer. Just a recommendation in case you plan to visit this site regularly
(current stats show that about 25% of regular visitors to this site use Firefox.
).

April 25th, 2005-- New Editorial
A new editorial is up, as you can see above. It reveals some new disturbing
findings in regards to Georg Prime, so check it out please.

April 24th, 2005-- Character List C updated +
After much help from forum Gaara, again Character List C has been updated with
Suikoden 4 characters. Also (again), with the help of forum member TheNeclord,
some entries in Character List A and B have been improved, especially those
entries that had pathetic one or two sentence entries I wrote over 4 years ago!

April 23st, 2005-- Character List A and B Updated +
After much help from forum members Gaara, Character List A and Character List B
have been updated with Suikoden 4 characters. Also, with the help of forum
member TheNeclord, extremely minor characters from previous games, such as Pete,
Rosh, and Susu have been added. If you want to contribute to this site like
these two wonderful gentlemen, please join the forum and head to the "Content
Development" subforum under the "Site Content Discussion" forum!

April 22nd, 2005-- Stars of Destiny List Super-Upgraded
The list of stars of destiny have been updated with Suikoden 4 characters (and
linked to mostly yet-unavailable bios), but I also re-researched the English
translation of Shui Hu Zhuan character nicknames (provided by HowlingGuild of
Suikosource back in 2001), and realized that there are some problems. Namely,
some of the Chinese words meant different things back when the story was written
back in the 15 century, and I also updated some mythological references within
these nicknames (as well as few refernces to historical people, such as the
nickname "Xiang Yu Minor" which comes from Xiang Yu, a famous general from
ancient China). I also included the original kanji on the star list, so it will
be necessary to install relevant windoes plug-ins to be able to view these (if
you don't already have Japanese or traditional Chinese encoding enabled). The
list won't look too impressive for most of you, but some of you may be able to
tell what sort of hellish research may have went into making this star list.
Yes, I'm pretty fricking proud of it, so you should look at it. On another note,
suikox will almost reach one million visitors since it's humble beginnings in
August 7th, 2003; wow.

April 21st, 2005-- Relics List V Updated
I realized that my last update of list V was not very good at all, so I went
back and re-did, Relics List V. "Vampires" is the only entry for that letter,
but it's an interesting topic, neverthless.

April 20th, 2005-- Guillaume is Not Human
A new speculation has been added (well, it's actually old, but...), Guillaume is
Not Human. It is a piece written by our resident scholar, iscalio, and would
surely reveal new truths and shocking tid-bits about one of Suikoden's most
celebrated characters.

April 19th, 2005-- Timeline Updated With Suikoden 4 Info
The Suikoden Timeline has been updated with new info revealed through Suikoden
4. I also added some new info gleaned from publications. The update includes
birth years of all Suikoden 4 characters that have concrete ages. The years were
calculated based on the Japanese Suikoden 4 official guide. I also removed the
archaic "In Solis" designation because it's not even gramatically correct. I
changed it to "Solar Year," which should make it easier to understand. Some
other visual enhancements have been made, but not all links will work (not all
content has been made yet).

April 18th, 2005-- Suikoden 4 Characters Added (Partially)
About 30 character entries for Suikoden 4 characters have been added to the
Characters list. Thanks goes to Gaara from the forums for writing those entries.

April 17th, 2005-- Pronounciation Archive Update + Suikoden 4 Info Unlocked
The Pronounciation Archive was updated with some new recordings, including the
correct way to pronounce "Luc," so check it out. Also, because a good amount of
time has passed after S4 was released in Europe, Suikoden 4 info will now be
free for discussion within the forums. Consequently, the wite will be updated

March 22nd, 2005-- Suikoden 5 In Production?
We have heard before that the voice actor "Mugito" stated in his blog that he
did a recording for "Genso Suikoden" last month.
That entry was deleted later, and replaced with "a game."

Previously, we have had similar "leaks" concerning Suikoden being deleted after
being posted, such as the "150 years ago" information that was posted on the
Konami of American site, which was deleted within a few days. Only months after
that did Konami officially state that the timeline is 150 years before that of
Suikoden 1.

Well, another one of these "delted information" has surfaced.

In the a reputable Japanese video games store information site
(http://www.fk2net.com/games/), it was posted that--

GENSO SUIKODEN 5 IN JOINT PRODUCTION BY KONAMITYO AND HUDSON.

This entry was detected by the folks at 2ch.net, and was also recorded by the
Gensui Kouryaku Shinsho fansite.

Based on precidence, this is a strong indication that Suikoden 5 is already in
production.

February 18th, 2005-- New Suikoden in Development?
The Japanese voice actor, Mugito, stated in his blog on the 17th that he made a
recording for "Genso Suikoden." No further details have been revealed elsewhere,
but because Mugito is a pretty well-known voice-actor, info on his site can
probably be trusted. The question is, is this actually a game, some radio drama,
or an anime? Of course, Mugito may have been doing the voice for the PAL
version.

January 20th, 2005-- SARSadmin AWOL
SARSadmin will be away from the internet world for three months starting January
23rd because he will be doing contractor work at an undisclosed location where
there would likely be little to no internet connection. For this reasons, there
will be no updates to the site during that time. The boards will remain active.

December 21st, 2004-- Worm Attack
A worm demolished this site early on today using the "highlight vulnrability" in
phpbb, installing a backdoor into the directory to rewrite every single .html
and .php files. I have backups for every file for every hour, so nothing has
been lost. The mySQL database is intact (it's tucked in a separate server) so no
messages have been lost in the board. The board has been restored now (after
some laborous work). I am still restoring other parts of the site. Please be
patient and pray for my sanity! All files have been restored, and now I am tired
as a fox in a squall.

December 18th, 2004-- La Pucelle Ad Campain Ends
Thankfully, the La Pucelle Ad campaign has ended, so now you can have your
random image thingy back. I will be adding more pictures very soon, along with a
new artist who has agreed to share her art with suikox.com. I just added about
30 more pictures to the random frontpage picture. Mostly by Blanka and three
four pieces from Planeteater, who is actually a pro. Enjoy!

December 16th, 2004-- Suikoden 1 Saturn Verion Opening!!
I uploaded the opening from Suioden 1's Saturn Version onto this site. The
Saturn version has a very different opening compared to the somewhat crappy
Playstation version. Given the bandwidth I have, I should be able to manage
about 2000 downloads without any problem. File size is 24MB. No direct streaming
please--make sure you download it instead. Download it HERE!

December 12th, 2004-- Message Board Headlines Restored!!
As you see above, the function that shows active threads in the message board
has been repaired. I am so happy!

November 18th, 2004-- La Pucelle Advertisement!!
I'm sure people are wondering what the hell. Well, I was contacted by a
distributor, who asked me if I can host their banners for $0.10 a click. That's
a very good rate, and it will only last for a month until December 17th. I think
La Pucelle is a pretty good series myself, so I don't beel that bad for "selling
my soul." Plus, this site needs money to operate, so it would be great if
everyone can click on the banner. Click on it once a day! With the 1000/day
visitors I get here, suikox.com will not have financial problems for at least a
year. Heck, you may even want to buy this game. Apparently, they will send me a
copy once I manage to get 50 clicks, and the contract also says I must post a
review of the game within two weeks, which I would do gladly. I'm sure most of
you want some other game to dote your attention on while you wait for Suikoden
4!

October 31st, 2004-- Suikoden 4 Section Removed!
It's been a few months since Suikoden 4 came out, so I have removed the Suikoden
4 new info section from this site (Mainly because the info was getting old). I
am currently in Japan and have been unable to update the site (I don't have my
books!). I'll get to it once I return next week.
Oh yes, and I will put back the random graphics thingie after December 17th,
with additional pictures from a new artist I befriended recently, so don't fret!

Aug 25th, 2004-- Suikoden 4 Recruitment Guide!!
I have managed to acquire the 108 stars in Suikoden 4, and created a recruitment
guide with the help of Kuromimi of Suikosource. Because Suikox.com is not
interested in gameplay guides, the guide is located here at Suikosource. Beware,
MAJOR spoilers abound!

Aug 23rd, 2004-- Suikoden 4 Review
I'm in the process of playing Suikoden 4 right now. I have not finished it, but

Blanka which includes stuff she drew that is no longer available at her site! I
also included one picture by Aurore, which she gave me permission for use a long
time ago.

June 19th, 2004-- Suikoden FAQ
During a span of two months between March and May of this year, I challenged
myself to dedicate a thread in gamefaqs to answer questions from suikoden fans.
COnsidering one thread can go up to 500 replies, it was no easy task! I uploaded
a sami-edited version on this site for all to see here. The Questions and
answeres are in no particular order though, so it would be best to use your
browser's "find" function if you're looking for something specific.

June 18th, 2004-- Suikoden 4 Character Info
Recent Famitsu has published the names of who would be the Chiki and Chimou
Stars of Suikoden 4 (Camus/Miklotiov Stars). I updated their info accordingly in
the Suikoden 4 Characters Section for all to see. I also updated info for other
characters for which I have new info.

May 18th, 2004-- Improved Deluxe Forums
I have been working on a new forum for this site, and I think it's finally done.
The new forum will be actively used by me, unlike the old EZboard piece of junk.
As you can see, active threads get linked on this page, right under the
editorial. Isn't that just so cool? So come join the forums HERE.

new to add. I see the light at the end of the tunnel!!

Apr 18th, 2004-- Character Pictures on Main Page
Blanka from Blanka's Grotto has graciously allowed me to use her exhaustive
character portraits. She even allowed me to do whatever I want with it, so I
decided to add a randomizer so you can see different portraits every time the
page is visited or reloaded. There's currently 30 or so portraits, and more will
come as time goes. I also added a portrait of Leon Silverberg done by ShadraD.
Check it out!

Mar 19th, 2004-- A new Suikoden 4 picture
Some rabid fans in Japan got an unreleased Dengeki PS2 (April 23rd edition) and

original trailer.
