NIST also has a remote location in Rockville, Maryland that is the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) that brings together experts from industry, government, and academia to address the real-world needs of securing complex IT systems and protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure. NIST jointly operates research organizations in four additional locations explicitly established to promote cross-disciplinary collaborations that accelerate research results.
