ELIGIBILITY

Wondr is available to employees, retirees or dependents enrolled in a
HealthSelect plan (excluding Medicare-primary participants) who are 18 or older
and have a BMI of 23 or higher.


COST

Wondr is available at no cost to employees, retirees or dependents enrolled in a
HealthSelect plan who meet the eligibility requirements listed above.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST


DANA LABAT

Dr. Dana Labat is a clinical psychologist licensed in both Louisiana and Texas.
Dr. Labat earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas
Southwestern (UTSW) and runs her own private practice in Louisiana. Dr. Labat
utilizes her extensive experience to teach Wondr participants the relationship
between mind and body by sharing the science of how to eat the foods you love so
you can lose weight, feel better, and live stronger. Dr. Labat knows that mental
wellbeing is equally important as physical health, and focuses many of her
teachings on the power of mindfulness in living a healthy life. She also has
experience treating clinically-diagnosed eating disorders.

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER


TIM CHURCH

Dr. Church is one of the country’s leading clinical thought leaders in exercise
and obesity research. As author of more than 300 published clinical articles,
Dr. Church has received numerous awards for his research in preventive health.
He helps lead the development of the Wondr Health curriculum, which is inspired
by his medical expertise. Specializing in business-to-business strategies, Dr.
Church is an advocate for the employer and has a proven track record of
empowering organizations through disease prevention to decrease healthcare costs
and inspire employees to be their best selves.

CELEBRITY CHEF


TRE WILCOX

Twice nominated for the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year
Award (in 2005 and 2006, when he was Chef de Cuisine at Abacus), Chef Tre was
also named one of the Best in DFW Chefs in 2010 by The Dallas Morning News.
Kitchen success led to TV stardom, as Chef Tre thrilled viewers on Bravo
Television’s “Top Chef” season three and “Top Chef All-Stars”. In 2014, Chef Tre
founded Tre Wilcox Cooking Concepts, a culinary space hosting cooking classes,
events and team-building experiences. More recently, he launched Tre Fit Foods—a
meal preparation service featuring delicious, health-forward, and balanced
meals. Chef Tre knows you don’t have to give up eating well to live well. He
teaches Wondr Health participants how to maximize flavors in cooking while also
supporting healthy lifestyles.

REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST


MERIDAN ZERNER

Meridan Zerner is a national award-winning registered dietitian nutritionist
with 30 years of experience in the field of health and wellness. She’s spent the
last 20 years at Cooper Clinic, where she works with patients and shares her
passion for nutrition through media segments and lectures across the country. An
advocate for preventive and cardiovascular health and nutrition, she uses a
practical approach and understands overall health means so much more than weight
loss. She leverages her Wellness Coach certification to champion behavioral
change skills that support sustainable lifestyle changes.


RENEE ROGERS

Renee Rogers is a researcher and practitioner known for developing innovative
interventions that engage people in healthy lifestyle behaviors. She is an
expert on integration of exercise, technology, and weight loss, and loves
working with media and technology to bring weight loss programs to the palm of
your hand. Her expertise comes from a solid academic foundation in exercise
physiology, behavior change, and weight management, plus years of experience
performing professionally in theatre, dance, and working in production design
and media. She’s known for her creative approaches for getting people to move
more and sit less. Combined with her unique experience teaching many movement
disciplines for the last 25 years, she gives Wondr Health a competitive edge
with her experience in designing engaging wellness programming. Dr. Rogers has
been published in a variety of outlets, including the American College of Sports
Medicine and The Conversation US.


KEVIN GILLILAND

Kevin Gilliland is a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of healthcare
experience including business, treatment, and research. He’s the author of
Struggle Well, Live Well and Progress, not Perfection. He has presented to a
diverse group of corporations—multiple Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, Google,
AT&T, United Airlines, as well as a diverse group of professionals—physician
groups, school superintendents, and keynote presentations for annual
conferences. Kevin has a unique ability to break down complex research topics in
a way that resonates with the broader public, and he does just that as part of
the People magazine Health Squad, Men’s Health Advisory Group, and frequent
guest on local and national television, radio, and in-print publications. After
working more than two decades in healthcare, Gilliland started an outpatient
healthcare treatment company, Innovation 360, that specializes in mood
disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and addiction.

Todd Whitthorne is a nationally recognized health and wellness speaker and the
author of Fit Happens! Simple Steps for a Healthier, More Productive Life!
Whitthorne is an Emmy award-winning broadcaster who has spent the last 20 years
leveraging his kinesiology and exercise physiology background to help
organizations develop strategies to improve health and productivity in their
workforces. He brings inspiring content about holistic approaches to Wondr
Health curriculum while teaching practical, clinically-proven skills that work.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

Go to www.WondrHealth.com/healthselect and click the ‘Apply Now’ button and
complete the online registration. Once you are accepted, you will be notified
via email.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM?

Wondr is available to eligible employees, spouses and dependents 18 and older
(excludes Medicare primary participants) enrolled in HealthSelect of Texas or
Consumer Directed HealthSelect, who have a BMI of 23 or higher.


HOW DO I KNOW IF I COMPLETED MY REGISTRATION?

You will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided during
the enrollment process.If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check
your spam filter to ensure the mail didn’t get caught there. If you did not
receive an email, please visit support.wondrhealth.com and click Submit a
Request so our team can verify that your application is complete.


ARE THE MEETINGS IN PERSON?

The Wondr program is an online program so there is no need to attend any
meetings in person. You can watch your lessons and interact with the program
whenever it is convenient for you.


WHAT WILL I EAT?

At Wondr Health we want you to learn habits that you can use for a lifetime. For
years our culture has tried to change what you eat and we all have struggled for
success. At Wondr Health we want to change your eating habits, not what you eat.
We will not have required meals, calorie counting, or ask you to buy specific
meals. The meals that you typically enjoy now will remain the same. We will have
some items that can be helpful in the program that will be discussed in the
first video.


WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?

The videos should take less than one hour to watch, except for the first week
which is slightly longer (approximately 1½ hours). Each lesson is broken up into
multiple short videos so you can watch whenever it is convenient to your
schedule. During the first ten weeks, your lessons are weekly so all the weekly
videos need to be watched within the next 10 days (7 day class period plus a
3-day extension, if necessary). During the subsequent skill maintenance phases
of the program, you will have more time to complete your lessons.


HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?

The program starts with ten weekly lessons, approximately one hour in length, to
teach you the core principles. Each lesson is broken up into small videos so you
can watch the entire lesson in one sitting or break it up into multiple sittings
when it is convenient for you. Throughout the program you will have access to a
dashboard to track your weight loss, tips and quizzes to keep you motivated, and
tools to communicate with coaches and other participants.

Research shows that participants that continue to check in after learning the
core principles are the most successful. So, after the first ten weeks, lessons
are bi-weekly for the next fourteen weeks. At this point, you will have learned
the core principles so lessons will focus on reinforcing those skills and
helping you apply them in real life. After that, you will have a new lesson once
a month for six months which will focus on long-term weight maintenance.


IS THE PROGRAM COMPLETELY ONLINE? IS THERE A BOOK OR ANYTHING TO ACCOMPANY THE
PROGRAM?

Yes, you will receive a Welcome Kit via regular mail at the address you provided
in your application. It includes:

 * Participant Manual – This manual includes general information about the
   program as well as the food diary, which you will learn more about in the
   program.
 * Tape Measure – Allows you to take your measurements before and after the
   program to see how many inches you lose.
 * Food Items – There is a Food Awareness exercise during the first week of the
   program so you will use these foods for that exercise. (Food items containing
   peanuts are included in the welcome kit so if you or someone in your family
   has a peanut allergy, please don’t consume those items.)


DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM ON A DESKTOP COMPUTER? CAN I USE MY SMARTPHONE
OR TABLET?

You can use any type of electronic device with Internet connectivity to
participate in the Wondr program including a desktop, laptop, smartphone,
tablet, etc. In fact, there is even an iPhone and Android app which you can use
to watch your lessons and apply the skills to your daily life.


WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO COACHES/COUNSELORS IN THE PROGRAM?

Yes, you will have access to a team of counselors that are ready to assist you
at any time. Additionally, there is an entire online community that includes
counselors, past participants and current participants available to share tips
or answer questions whenever you need it.


WILL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION BE SHARED?

No, the information you provide to Wondr will be considered confidential and
will only be available to you and the Wondr program professionals. Your health
plan may receive reports of Wondr aggregate enrollment data for billing and
claims processes. Otherwise, the information you provide to Wondr is
confidential and available only to you and Wondr and its affiliates involved in
conducting and evaluating the program. Wondr cannot sell or otherwise divulge
any participant information to any unauthorized party.
