WHO ARE THE DINNER LADIES?

We are Sophie Gilliatt and Katherine Westwood, and we love food!

We became friends at the school gate in 2007 and started cooking for time-poor
friends and family so that they (and we!) could always enjoy a delicious
home-made dinner, even when the day had bubbled out of control. When life gives
us lemons, we like to make a drizzle cake! 

We cook real dinners from scratch, with the same fresh ingredients you use at
home. Then we snap-freeze straight from the kitchen and deliver to your door.
Dinner Ladies take away the stress of thinking about, shopping for and making
dinner.

If there’s one dinnertime classic we ALWAYS crave, it’s a perfectly comforting,
mashed potato-topped fish pie.⁠ ⁠ We’ve spent many years perfecting our recipe:
⁠ Chunks of pearly fresh ling, smoked salmon and cod;⁠ Folded into a creamy herb
and lemon bechamel;⁠ Topped with buttered mash and crunchy breadcrumbs;⁠ Popped
straight in the freezer so it stays spanking fresh.

We’ll take any excuse to make spiced, slow-cooked lamb shanks.⁠ ⁠ Weather’s
turning chilly? Dry-rub those hearty shanks with cumin, coriander and star
anise, and braise until falling-apart tender in a rich thick sauce. ⁠ ⁠ It’s
still hot and sunny? Hooray! Let’s enjoy lamb shanks with cous cous salad and
eat them outdoors in celebration!

side of ocean trout, brushed with horseradish marinade and coated with crunchy
lemony panko crumbs, crushed fennel seeds and handfuls of chopped herbs. Comes
with a horseradish-dill cream for serving. ⁠ We call that dressed to impress!
