Create the information for the knowledge base article. Add and update headings

WHAT IS THE OKTA BUSINESS VALUE SNAPSHOT?

The Okta Business Value Snapshot is a quarterly 1-pager that demonstrates how
your organization's usage of Okta has driven value for your business by
mitigating risk, increasing employee productivity, and understanding user
activity.
 


HOW CAN I ACCESS MY BUSINESS VALUE SNAPSHOT?

To access your reports through the Okta Help Center:

 1. Sign into the Okta Help Center
 2. Click your profile photo dropdown menu
 3. Select "My success hub"
 4. Click on "View reports" under "My personalized reports"

 


WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD VALUE SNAPSHOT AND THE NEW VALUE SNAPSHOT
RELEASED IN NOVEMBER 2023? 

The business value snapshot has been updated to accommodate new data points
reflecting usage of LCM, MFA, Workflows, Fastpass, ThreatInsights, and more.



WHAT OKTA PRODUCTS ARE REFLECTED IN THE USAGE METRICS? 

The data in the report reflects your organization's usage of SSO (Single
Sign-On), MFA (Multi-factor Authentication), Workflows, and LCM (Lifecycle
Management), if applicable.

 


WHAT DATE RANGE DOES THIS REPORT REFLECT? 

Lookback metrics in the report reflect the last 90 days from the date you
received the report with the exception of top apps used, which ranks top apps
based on if an employee accessed the app via Okta at least once in the last 30
days.
  


WHO RECEIVES THESE REPORTS?

Super administrators, executive sponsors, and main Okta contacts within your
organization will receive a link to your organization's report. 
 


WILL I RECEIVE THIS REPORT ON AN ONGOING BASIS?

Yes. This is a program that you'll receive on a recurring quarterly cadence.
 


HOW CAN I SEE WHAT THREATS WERE BLOCKED OR WHAT IPS WERE DETECTED? 

You can query this information from the System Log. Navigate to Reports > System
Log from your Okta Admin console and use the query eventType eq
"security.threat.detected".
 


HOW DO I VIEW AND MODIFY MY MFA POLICIES SO MORE EMPLOYEES ARE ACCESSING OKTA
WITH MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION? 

You can view and modify MFA policies by navigating to Security --> Multifactor
--> Factor Enrollment from your Okta admin console.
 


I DO NOT SEE A VALUE SNAPSHOT REPORT IN MY REPORTS. HOW DO I GET A VALUE
SNAPSHOT?

Value snapshots are automatically provided to all customers with a Silver
Success entitlement and who own Workforce Identity Cloud or Customer Identity
Solution products with our standard baseline SKUs*. If you are a Gold customer,
reach out to your Customer Success Manager to request your value snapshot. Note
that you must be deployed for at least 90 days in order to receive your
snapshot.

If you believe you are eligible to receive a snapshot but still haven’t received
one, please email digitalcustomersuccess@okta.com.

*Baseline SKUs include “Single Sign-On” for Workforce Identity Cloud and
“Enterprise SSO” for Customer Identity Solutions
