Fellow snipers, we are back!



The need for snipers capable of operating in a variety of climates and terrain
is now becoming more important than ever in the European theatre. 



From 2010 to 2018 the Norwegian army arranged the highly popular Sniper Small
Unit Exchange (SSUE) in Norway. It gave the NATO allied sniper teams the
opportunity to train together for two weeks, sharing knowledge, experiences and
skills in the Norwegian mountains.

 

The winter edition featured training in arctic warfare, survival, mobility with
snowmobiles and sniping under winter conditions. 

The summer edition featured challenges like mountainous terrain, incline
shooting, cross valley shooting and more. 

 

The SSUE had special forces and regular sniper-teams attending from 12 different
nations. The program was discontinued in 2018 due to rotation of key personnel
and internal budget priorities.

 

 


 

 


Now, the same instructors are the founders of Parallax Combat Training
Solutions, and we want to revitalize the SSUE. Here is something that might

SSUE Autumn 25

Location: Mjølfjell training area in Voss - Norway

Time: Week 39-40 2025 (10 days of effective training)

Approx cost per pax: 6600€ /  7200$ (including food and lodging!)

Content:

 * Long Range shooting ( We have shooting ranges with up to 270° firing fan, and
   up to 2000 meters distance)

 * Inclination shooting, upwards and downwards

 * Cross Valley shooting 

 * Difficult wind conditions

 * Ballistics and wind estimation classes

 * Mountain survivability 

 * Exchange of knowledge, techniques and experiences

 * Classes and training on demand from the audience

SSUE Winter 26

Location: Mjølfjell training area in Voss - Norway

Time: Week 11-12 2026 (10 days of effective training)

Cost per pax: 7650€ / 8250$ (including food and lodging!)

Content:

 * Long range shooting ( We have shooting ranges with up to 270° firing fan, and
   up to 2000 meters distance)

 * Sniping in winter conditions (camouflage, spotting and shooting, mission
   planning) 

 * Arctic survival/ Avalanche safety training

 * Inclination shooting, upwards and downwards

 * Cross Valley shooting 

 * Difficult wind conditions

 * Ballistics and wind estimation classes

 * Mountain survivability 

 * Exchange of knowledge, techniques and experiences

 * Classes and training on demand from the audience

 * Networking

 * Winter mobility - snowmobile driving course

Logistics

The units have to bring their own equipment, firearms and ammunition, as well as
transportation to and from the training area. Lodging, meals and snowmobiles
(winter SSUE) during the training period are included in the course fee.

 

We will support the units with procedures related to requests for training
between host nation support units and Norwegian Army staff.
