LOS DESAFÍOS DE BBVA PERÚ, SEGÚN CLASIFICADORAS

Entre los principales desafíos para BBVA Perú se encuentra alcanzar una mayor
penetración en el segmento minorista sin que la rentabilidad ajustada por riesgo
se vea afectada de modo importante, considera la clasificadora Apoyo &
Asociados.




Además, menciona la posibilidad de que el banco mantenga un crecimiento
sostenido de su cartera de créditos mayorista, en un entorno de spread muy
reducidos por las bajas tasas de interés.

La clasificadora también espera que el banco continúe cumpliendo con las mayores
exigencias de capital y liquidez de Basilea III, “lo cual a su vez debe
acompañar la estrategia de crecimiento de cartera y cumplir con las directrices
de la matriz que cada subsidiaria sea autosuficiente en fondeo y capital”.



Destaca que la perspectiva estable en la calificación del banco se sostiene en
su adecuada gestión de riesgos, estructura eficiente de costos, fondeo
diversificado y estable, holgados niveles de liquidez y capitalización, así como
en un importante soporte de su casa matriz

Apoyo & Asociados señala que si bien el impulso de los créditos de BBVA a
pequeña y microempresa a setiembre del 2020 responde principalmente a los
programas de financiamiento con garantía gubernamental, también va en línea con
la estrategia del banco de entrar a segmentos más rentables no atendidos
previamente.




INVERSIONES

“Esto ha sido acompañado de inversiones en la capacidad instalada, así como en
la implementación de un nuevo buró de pymes que permitirá un adecuado control de
riesgos para dichos créditos y un reforzamiento del área comercial con la
contratación de ejecutivos especializados”, detalla.

Afirma que el programa Reactiva Perú ha facilitado la mayor penetración del
banco en el segmento pyme con un bajo nivel de riesgo, ya que un alto porcentaje
de los créditos desembolsados cuentan con garantía soberana (90% a 98%). El
plazo de tres años de dichos créditos permitirá conocer el comportamiento de
pago de estos clientes, así como ajustar los modelos de riesgos de BBVA, resalta
la agencia de rating.



Por su parte, Moody’s Local, que ratificó la categoría A+ a BBVA Perú, basa
dicha nota en la relevante participación del banco dentro del sistema bancario,
ubicándose como la segunda entidad más importante en créditos directos y
depósitos totales.


OPORTUNIDADES

Asimismo, la evaluación recoge la diversificación de la cartera de créditos del
banco por tipo de crédito y sector económico al que son dirigidos, así como el
desempeño financiero histórico mostrado por el banco previo a la pandemia
covid-19, destacando sus indicadores de eficiencia.

En cuanto a las principales oportunidades de mejora, la clasificadora observa
una tendencia ascendente en los indicadores de morosidad del banco a lo largo de
los últimos periodos analizados (la fecha de corte de su evaluación es setiembre
del 2020).

Sin embargo, sostiene que el nivel de cobertura con provisiones de la cartera
atrasada y refinanciada ha evolucionado favorablemente, al ubicarse dicho índice
en 106.08% a la mencionada fecha, ante el importante y mayor stock de
provisiones voluntarias alcanzado por el banco, que asciende a S/1,109.0
millones.

Jirón Santa Rosa No. 300, Cercado de Lima, province and department of Lima,
together with the companies that make up its Economic Group (the "El Comercio
