VERMONT MEDICAID PROGRAMS

MEDICAID AND DR. DYNASAUR FOR VERMONTERS

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, Vermont has made several programmatic changes to
allow Vermonters to access health insurance. Please visit the Eligibility and
Enrollment section on the Department of Vermont Health Access COVID-19 page for
more information. In order to manage our COVID-19 response, our temporary call
center hours will be 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Medicaid is a government-funded health insurance plan for income-eligible people
and people who are categorically eligible. In Vermont, Medicaid is run by the
Department of Vermont Health Access. There are different types of Medicaid.
Medicaid covers medical care and prescriptions drugs. To learn more about
Medicaid coverage and what you may be eligible for, click on the four health
coverage options below.

Medicaid is low-cost or free health coverage for adults.


DR. DYNASAUR

DR. DYNASAUR

Dr. Dynasaur provides low-cost or free health coverage for children, teenagers
under age 19 and pregnant women.


LONG-TERM CARE MEDICAID

LONG-TERM CARE MEDICAID

Vermont's Long-Term Care Medicaid program helps eligible Vermonters pay for
long-term care services in the setting of their choice.


PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE

PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE

Vermont offers prescription assistance to uninsured Vermonters and those
enrolled in Medicare. Eligibility is based on income, disability status and age.


SPECIAL NEEDS ACCESS
