David Kilgallon · Oie Voaldyn - Feeagh Ghoo Oie Voaldyn - Feeagh Ghoo Music for the Oie Voaldyn & Oie Houney Pageants (two festivals held in the Isle of Man) This recent release is a piece of music was written specifically for Oie Voaldyn, a Manx festival that celebrates the arrival of summer. It was also aimed to be used for Oie Houney which celebrates the old Celtic new year. Feeagh Ghoo (Black Raven) is inspired by the iconic bird that holds a special place in Manx folklore and mythology for change, and its powerful presence is reflected in the driving rhythms and soaring melodies of the music. I'm excited to share this piece with those who attend Oie Voaldyn and later in the year Oie Houney, and I hope it adds to the sense of excitement and community that both festivals inspire!
