JESSE FARBER

Missing Since August 11th 2015

ABOUT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jesse Farber-Rex went missing on August 11th 2015 in Tamaqua, Pa under
mysterious circumstances. Jesse called me (Rachel Carroll) at 8:43pm saying he
was in the mountain behind the high school. He told me he was in a tree and
10-11 coyotes were after him. He told me to bring guns and that his phone was
about to die. He switched his location from the high school, to the elementary
school mountain and then back to the high school. When I asked him for sure
where he was, he said the high school mountain. Just as I asked him for his
exact location and he started to speak, his phone hung up. I called back
immediately many times with no luck. Within five minutes I was on the mountain,
spending hours searching and yelling for him, also with no luck. I called police
and he was immediately reported as missing.

There have been many searches including a search of an air shaft, underwater
searches, searches performed on foot with search dogs, drones, and military
helicopters. Supposedly, his bookbag was later found in a tree on the mountain
but I have reasons to believe it was planted and may not even belong to Jesse.

There are many theories and rumors involved with Jesse's case. I try to spread
awareness and look for anyone's help. Jesse and I share two young children who
suffer his disappearance everyday. If anyone has any information or can help in
any way to push this case forward, it would be greatly appreciated. Anonymous
tips are welcome.

Please help us to bring Jesse home! Thank You!

TIMELINE

AUGUST 1ST 2015

Jesse and I (Rachel Carroll) separated after a disagreement about money. Jesse
started staying at his grandmothers, In a camper, in Lewis Town Valley. Jesse
still was involved with his children daily. We also talked everyday, through
text, phone calls, and still spent time together.

AUGUST 8TH, 2015

Saturday August 8th was the last day I physically seen Jesse. In the days prior
and especially on this day, I noticed Jesse wasn't himself. He seemed very
exhausted and stressed. While we were driving to his grandmothers, I asked him
again What was wrong. I told him that I would help him no matter what. I asked
him to come back home. As he got out of the car, he said to me, "I have to do
this on my own, but when its over I see us all being together again." This upset
me more, because it confirmed to me that something was wrong but I still didn't
know what.

AUGUST 10TH 2015

Monday, the day before the disappearance... I talked to Jesse earlier in the day
while I was at work. We planned to meet up at work to see each other before he
started his shift. I waited awhile and he never showed up. When I called to see
if he was still coming, he didn't answer. But immediately texted back, "Shhh,
I'm hunting" with a kiss face emoji. After this, I tried calling and texting
Jesse all day and the next day but he didn't respond at all.

AUGUST 10TH 2015

Information I got after Jesse went missing: Jesse had planned going to work on
Monday, but at the last minute he asked his grandfather to drive him into
Tamaqua instead. Jesse got dropped off at Burger King. Where he was seen by
Brittney Pester carrying a bookbag. This was roughly 3pm. After Jesse left
there, he met up with a girl named Carina Leech. There was a sighting of Jesse
sitting on the porch of a house on Bowe St. Supposedly, Carina stole money from
Jesse. He then ran into Johnny Manness, and they both walked to the house of
Dustin Oncay. They spent the night playing video games. Johnny left and Jesse
spent the night.

AUGUST 11TH 2015

Tuesday.. the day of the disappearance. In the afternoon, Dustin left around
11am. Jesse left Dustin's at about 1pm. Dustin's girlfriend mentioned that Jesse
had been worried because he got in touch with Kyle Hoppes, Carina Leech's
boyfriend. Jesse told him about Carina stealing his money and Kyle agreed to pay
it back. Jesse mentioned feeling uneasy about it. From there, Kyle and Jesse set
up a few different places to meet but Kyle never showed and Jesse was getting
frustrated. The final spot they were supposed to meet was on Broad St, Tamaqua,
near to where Kyle had been staying. But Kyle said this time Jesse never showed
up. The police said they confirmed this through cameras. Nothing is known of
Jesse's movements during the rest of the day until there was a sighting of him
at about roughly 7:20pm by Alma Hartwell.

AUGUST 11TH 2015

Alma said he seen Jesse walking on the S Turns (The road in between Lewis Town
Valley and Tamaqua.) This was at about 7:20pm. He said Jesse was carrying a
bookbag and walking toward Tamaqua. 8:43pm: Jesse called me for help. He said to
bring guns, he was in a tree, 10-11 coyotes were after him and his phone was
about to die. He said he was on the mountain behind the high school (Sharp
Mountain) but then he changed it to the elementary school mountain and then back
to the high school mountain. I asked him if he was sure and he said, "Yes, the
high school mountain." I asked him where he was exactly and as he started to
speak, the phone hung up. I called back immediately several times and it just
went to voicemail. Within five minutes, I was on the mountain searching for
Jesse. Just before midnight, the police were called and a missing persons report
was filed.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13TH 2015

Thursday August 13th 2015 was the first day of the search. Search teams included
members of the Tamaqua Fire Department, Tamaqua Police Department, Tamaqua
Rescue Squad, Tamaqua Fire Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Schuylkill County
Emergency Management Agency (SCEMA), Northeast Search and Rescue, Pocono Search
and Rescue, Pa Wilderness Search and Rescue, and PA CSAR. The Tamaqua Salvation
Army and The American Red Cross also provided help amongst many other volunteers
and local restaurants and businesses who donated food and drinks to all who
searched.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14TH 2015

The second day of the Search: An Army National Guard helicopter from Indiantown
Gap helped in search efforts. Pocono Search and Rescue and Northeast Search and
Rescue said their dogs alerted at an air shaft. The military helicopter lowered
a man and equipment down from above to check the air shaft with a camera. The
camera ended up breaking on it's way down the air shaft.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH 2015

Saturday, August 15th 2015.... The search was called off.

AIR SHAFT SEARCH ON SEPTEMBER 13TH 2015

In the fall of 2015, search teams gathered for the last time to search an air
shaft that was previously searched two other times without success. Canadian
company Inuktun InCommand Robotics donated a special camera for this search for
free. $1300 had to be raised to pay for shipping which included 1600 feet of
cable, monitors, and the robot on a 600 pound pallet. Northeast Search and
Rescue coordinated the search which took over 8 hours. The camera was lowered
400 feet when a ledge was hit. They were able to find wheels of the previous
cameras that were lowered. At the end of the search, search crews announced that
they found no evidence that Jesse had fallen into the air shaft. A Special Thank
you to all search groups, volunteers, Inuktun InCommand Robotics, and all who
helped raise the money for this search to take place!

THE FIRST BAG THAT WAS FOUND

In the fall of 2015, two people who were walking in the woods along the
Elementary School Mountain, came across a bookbag. The bag was found in the
lower parts of the mountain. The two people who found the bag said they checked
inside the bag where they found an ID card belonging to Jesse Farber. The people
reached out to family about their findings. In the meantime, the bag was
released to Jesse's mother who still has possession of this bag. She has said
that this bag belonged to her youngest son, but then had said this incident
never occurred and the bag didn't exist. But then again she claimed the bag did
exist and belonged to her youngest son. The police were called in hopes that the
bag can be retrieved for evidence. The police did not get the bag and it remains
with Jesse's mother.

10/1/2015

THE SECOND BAG WAS FOUND

In December of 2016, a hunter tracking a deer supposedly found a pair of sweat
pants laying at the bottom of a tree. He then discovered a bag hanging further
up the tree. He called Jesse's grandparents who came out to the site to see the
bag and contents. The pants, a pair of boots, and a phone charger were found
also. Search teams and cadaver dogs were later brought in to search the area.
Nothing else was found and there were no other signs of Jesse. Jesse's
grandmother did later find a credit card belonging to Jesse amongst the dirt
near the site. The police did not keep the bag for evidence and the bag is in
the possession of Jesse's mother.

MISSING PERSONS GUIDE

MISSING PERSON GUIDE

At strenuous times, it can be hard to think clearly. It can be hard to know what
steps to take if you find yourself dealing with a missing person situation. You
may feel just as lost as your missing loved one. These are a few steps to take
into consideration at these desperate times: ~FILE A MISSING PERSONS REPORT with
the local authorities! The sooner the better! The first 72 hours are the most
crucial! ~Reach out to friends, family and acquaintances! Talking to anyone who
was last with your loved one will give you a better idea of their last
whereabouts, what or where they planned on going next, and even their mindset.
Were they in trouble? Were they stressed? Was there anything going on that would
be unusual for the missing person? These are important questions to keep in
mind. "WHEN A PERSON DISAPPEARS WITHOUT A TRACE, OFTEN THE MOST CRITICAL
INFORMATION IS HIDDEN IN THEIR ACTIONS AND WORDS FROM THE DAYS BEFORE THEY
VANISHED." ~SOCIAL MEDIA/CELL PHONE: Nowadays everyone has a cellphone with them
at all times. Smartphones can be a very useful tool in finding clues to your
loved ones disappearance. Smartphones mean internet access, and the internet
means endless possibilities. First, check all their social media accounts. Has
activity stopped? Is there still activity? Is there anything unusual on their
social media? Second, GPS location/find my phone settings. If they have a
smartphone, there will be a last location saved. Investigators should be able to
track down their last movements, locations, and even others who were interacting
with them. Third, cell phone records/social media records. If you are having
trouble finding anyone with any knowledge, ask your local police department to
get the phone records/social media records. They can get a warrant to look into
your loved ones last phone calls, text messages, internet usage, social media
access etc. This can be extremely helpful.....considering you then have an idea
of the possible events before the disappearance! ~SEARCH: Gathering a search is
a great way to leave no stone unturned. The police, the community, and search
and rescue teams usually come together to help locate a missing or endangered
person. This helps in covering more ground faster, since time is of the essence.
Depending on where the searches take place, use proper precaution and safety
measures to insure no one else gets hurt or lost. Leave dangerous areas to the
professionals. There are many Search and Rescue groups across the United States
and many will even travel to help in the search efforts. Search teams can
provide tools you wouldn't normally have access to. Including K9 search dogs,
divers, drones, helicopters, underwater cameras, and equipment and vehicles
specifically for rough terrain. Check out the RESOURCES PAGE for links to Search
Groups and other helpful groups and organizations! ~CHECK HOSPITALS, JAILS,
MORGUES: This is an important step to help make sure that the missing person
hasn't encountered a car accident, or any other incident. When these things
happen, sometimes there is a delay in getting in contact with family. If in any
case, it is important to contact these places and narrow down options and
possibilities of what happened to your loved one. ~NAMUS: The National Missing
and Unidentified Persons System. Having your loved one listed on NAMUS can be
helpful in case the missing person has left the area. If they are found living
in another state and their name is ran for any reason.... NAMUS will show they
are a missing person. The area they went missing from will then be notified.
This is also the case if someone is found deceased in another state. Once
identified, the deceased have a higher chance at being returned home and to
their loved ones if they are on NAMUS. Otherwise they can remain unidentified.
NAMUS also works with DNA to help the identifying process go faster. ~SPREAD THE
WORD: Getting the word out about your missing loved one can help you to track
last known locations and make a timeline of events. Making a MISSING PERSONS
FLYER will help get the person's face out into the public. Make sure to include
all important information, physical features, recent picture and contact
information for yourself and the police department. You can also get the word
out by reaching out to THE MEDIA. News stations and local papers will usually
assist in mentioning or writing an article on a missing person and the
circumstances of their disappearance. They keep the public informed of any
updates as the search continues. SOCIAL MEDIA is huge nowadays in reaching out
to many people very quickly. Create pages for your missing loved one. Ask people
to share the information. Before you know it, everyone will be on the lookout
for the missing person! You can also find very helpful and supporting groups and
organizations on social media that are willing to help spread awareness and help
in the search efforts. Most likely you will come across others in your position
who are also going through the same struggle. Sometimes seeing and understanding
that others are going through the same ordeal can help you personally. It's
important to know THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
