There is now global interest in the activity and various slacklining world
records exist, including 306 metres for the longest walk across, and an amazing

line itself, the word slackline is also used as a verb, both intransitively as
in slackline across/over etc, and occasionally transitively, with the object
referring to the geographical feature at which the slacklining takes place.
Slacklining first emerged in the UK about three years ago, but its origins are
in the USA, and can be traced back to a group of thrill-seeking rock climbers
who in the late seventies first had the idea of stringing up nylon webbing and
walking across it.

A further variation on the theme is waterlining, which is slacklining across
stretches of water. By contrast, in what is referred to as lowlining or
tricklining, the slackline is positioned close to the ground and the focus is on
stunts and tricks. This variation is called highlining, and is usually done with
special equipment and appropriate safety harnesses, though a daredevil minority
do it without, a feat dubbed by insiders as a free solo (check out the link in
the second citation above for some jaw-dropping photos). The other thing that
varies is the height of the line, which is conventionally just a couple of feet
above the ground, but is sometimes a very large distance above it. The

first Odd Fellows order in the United States. While the origin of the “Odd
Fellows” name appears lost to time, one possible explanation is that other
citizens in 18th-century England found the selfless motives of this group
unusual and considered its members an “odd bunch of fellows.”

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows started in England in the mid-1700s when a
group of ordinary citizens established a monetary fund from their personal
donations to help other group members during difficult times, “such as sickness,
losing a job and even death.” This explains the acronym “F L T” within the links
that sometimes appears, as seen in the photograph above. The three links
represent friendship, love and truth. The three-link chain is the main symbol of
the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and its presence on a cemetery tombstone,
gravemarker or monument indicates that the deceased belonged to this fraternal
organization. In addition, the capital letters “F L T” might appear within the
chain links (as seen in the photograph above), but not necessarily so.įinally,
this chain icon might also appear in conjunction with a different symbol, such
as a compass and carpenter’s square, on the deceased’s gravemarker. Generally

18th century maker using a capital 'A' letter with a crown - that of Andre-Marie

without a photo of the item, but my guess would be a small German manufacturer
or possibly even Far east Importer. It has the 'Naples' type crown typical of
German makers paying 'homage' to Capodimonte, but normally these marks have an

So we decided that we’ll try this but the sad news was that this game no longer
supports mutliplayer joining via google account. Bombsquad #īombsquad is a an
explosive arcade-style game which is best enjoyed with friends. We were able to
understand spyfall and played it for few days but after that we got bored from
that as well. Now we tried one game after the other and all of them were very
difficult to understand(atleast for us) except Spyfall. I found a website called
netgames.io on which there were few games which are supposed to be played when
players are in the same room but since we were communicating using VoIP we
thought we can play these games. So began the hunt of some other fun game, now I
know lot of you might think that there are thousands of game that we all can
play on steam or PS4/XBOX but the issue is that none of us have PS4/XBOX and
only one of us have steam on their gaming PC so we needed something which was
simpler and had an amazing multiplayer gameplay. Now for the first 2 weeks we
were totally enjoying our game playing/talking random stuff but after that
skribbl became very boring because we were getting lot of repetitive words and
our custom words weren’t as funny as they were in the starting. That is when I
decided that I should find a way to interact with my friends, other than talking
on our telegram group.Īfter some totally unrelated discussion we decided that we
should play skribbl at night while we all are on a discord call(for easier
communication). In the name of Entertainment I was scrolling through the
wormhole of youtube videos until all my suggestions were completely
uninteresting to me. I mean I was spending my time either doing my college
assignments, that were supposed to be submitted on Google Classroom, or I was
just doing various kind of challenges like Pentesterlabs, VMs from Vulnhub. Back
Story #įew days into the COVID-19 lockdown and I was already getting bored. If
