Managing Director

My name is Emily and I am the proud owner and manager of DCIRS Community Care.

I have worked in Aged Care and disability for many years and as well as managing
the business, I also work as an enrolled nurse within our local health
facilities.
I have two teenage children and I enjoy playing the guitar and singing.

Donald has been my home for 13 years and I love the community environment of
living in a small country town. I realised there was a need for services and
decided to give back to my community by founding DCIRS. I am looking forward to
the future and being able to support many more people to remain independent at
home, and provide more sustainable jobs for the community.

I am passionate about making a difference in others’ lives and hope that the
business continues to flourish so that all community members who need assistance
can access it.

For most of my working carer I’ve been employed in the customer service
industry. Due to health issues I had to retrain and was lucky enough to get work
as an administrator with DCIRS Community Care I’m learning new things everyday
which I enjoy and am loving my new role very much. I live in ST Arnaud with my
partner Glyn and dog Tommy and have an adult daughter Kayla who lives in
Melbourne. I enjoy listening to music and visiting with family and friends

I’m a mother of seven wonderful children but have only got two at home now, I am
extremely lucky to have eight beautiful and healthy grandchild who are my world.
I enjoy gardening and listening to music my favourite band is AC/DC but what I
enjoy the most is having a good chat over a cuppa with my friends and family.

My experience/s with DCIRS have always involved an enormous amount of
personalised support - especially from Emily.

I am - and have been - very comforted by both Emily and the workers who have
been assigned to me for various reasons.

Like many NDIS participants - my needs are complex - and I respond very well to
compassion, relevant knowledge, skills and acknowledgment of who I am - and
subsequent informed responses to my specific needs.

Since commencing my relationship with DCIRS a few months ago - I have felt
'heard' - and all support I have received from the agency has - and is - always
positive, intuitive, effective and efficient - including the aforementioned
attributes of the service/s provided.

I have built trust - once again most specifically with Emily - and I have a
sense of safety - with services in both communicating with the agency - and
their workers.

I have found all who work for DCIRS to be gifted with respect and insight.

DCIRS is the first agency that I have worked in conjunction with - and it will
be the agency I will continue with for the variety of considerations I receive
with my being afforded their informed assistance.

I am very glad I was referred to DCIRS - as I found the people, I want to assist
me in my moving forward - and improving my life.

I am very grateful for DCIRS in a myriad of ways.

Thank You!
Violet 🌻
