INVESTING IN AMERICA

7 November 2023
Can foreign multinationals continue to find opportunity in the US?
In-Person & Digital | Miami, PAMM | #FTInvestinginAmerica
Register now

In an uncertain global business environment, foreign companies are rethinking
whether – and where – to invest in the United States. As the largest and most
innovative economy in the world, the US provides international investors with
unparalleled access to deep capital markets, a thriving consumer base, and
vibrant cities to operate from. Recent legislation, including the CHIPS Act and
the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), has further boosted opportunities for
investment in semiconductors, EVs and clean energy through tax credits,
subsidies, and incentives, prompting an influx of foreign investors. What is the
state of play? Is the US becoming a more or less attractive destination for
international investment? What policies is the US taking – or should take – to
keep its position as a leader in inbound foreign investment?

The event is once again organized in conjunction with the FT-Nikkei Investing in
America Rankings. Taking place in Miami, the 2022 winning city, the second
edition of the FT-Nikkei Investing in America Summit will gather senior leaders
from foreign multinational corporations and city, state and federal officials
for a day of cutting-edge content to explore the economic outlook for the US,
key investment opportunities and the role of international companies in making
America more competitive, sustainable and resilient.
