Common questions and answers

How does it work?

- Select TogetherPay at the checkout.
- Input your phone number to receive and input your 2-factor security code.
- Once at the checkout, input your details and confirm your share of the order.
- Now invite friends to pay their share!
- Contributions are split equally by default but can be changed to pay different
amounts.
- All participants confirm their payment details and contributions.
- Once complete, your order will be placed automatically.

When is the order finalised?

Once all participants confirm their payment details, the order is placed.

How much time is given for confirmation by all participants?

Payment timings are determined by merchants and how long each merchant keeps
items in their carts. TogetherPay recommends order confirmations by all
participants should not exceed seven days. TogetherPay will communicate cart
opening/closure duration timings with you and notify you about the upcoming
closure of the cart.

What happens if someone doesn’t confirm participation in order?

If any participant(s) does not confirm their contribution, users have three
options:
- Other participants can use the “pay for someone” option, pay for them to
secure the order and collect funds later
- The organiser can remove participant(s) from the order and invites someone
else to pay their share.
- The organiser can remove participant(s) and redistributes the amount among
other participants.

Is TogetherPay free to use?

TogetherPay is free to use for all participants.

What type of payments does TogetherPay accept?

TogetherPay supports all major payment cards.

Are carts private?

Cart is assigned a complex unique link. Only people with that link have access
to the cart. 

Can I buy alone?

Of course you can.  Change the number of participants to "1" and confirm the
payment.

What should I do if one of the participants for some reason did not confirm his
payment details?

The organiser of the order has all participants phone numbers, thus it will not
be difficult to contact any participant. If this does not help, the organiser
can remove this participant.
