Education “The past contains knowledge that the future cannot forget.” Sharlot M. Hall WHO WAS SHARLOT HALL? A woman ahead of her time, Sharlot M. Hall spearheaded the cause to preserve Arizona’s history and artifacts during the early 1900s. After persuading the City of Prescott to purchase the “Old Governor’s Mansion” as a historic property, she opened the Museum’s doors to the public in 1928.
