So what’s the big deal with elections? What do they even do?

Elections this year determine who will be the officers at Millcreek Jr High for
next year. The officers help around the school and act as the student-faculty
bridge. They coordinate events, help with and attend school games, and are
supposed to be the examples for the students at the school by showing kindness
and a strong work ethic. But mostly it’s just a fun thing to be while at school.
The people you vote for should be people you think will be good representatives
of the school. 


ABOUT ME

Why vote for somebody you know nothing about? Here’s a little bit about me as a
person.

Though it is school, I quite enjoy attending Millcreek Jr High. I see it as a
fun place to learn and spend time with friends. I often hear complaints about
school in general, so I do my best to make other people feel happy while at
school. I am always down to meet a new person and get to know them better.
Knowing people is a great way to be an active member in your community!

When it comes to having fun, I am sure to have a good time. In my free time I
enjoy playing strategy games such as chess, checkers, or risk. I consider your
mind to be a person’s greatest strength. When I am outdoors, you would likely
find me skiing at Park City or Snow Basin. Skiing is a favorite activity of
mine. Zooming down a mountain at deathly speeds, how could that not be fun? I
also love going to Lagoon, zooming up and down roller coasters with friends.

This year I have served as 8th grade president throughout the school year. It
has been a super fun time so of course I am eager to do it again. I quite enjoy
being a leader, when the need arises. Helping others and making decisions is a
great way to learn from others, and learn more about yourself. If I got elected
again, you would be sure to see me with students at different events. 

One thing that I have done with my life for a very long time and plan to
continue to do is play the piano. I very much enjoy playing the piano and organ
and will play any chance I get. Below is a picture of me playing the organ at
the conference center in Salt Lake City.
