This colorful fruit pizza has a crunchy homemade cookie dough crust, cream
cheese filling, and assorted fruit topping. It's a fun and delicious dessert for
any occasion. Use any fresh fruit such as bananas, peaches, blueberries, kiwi,
pineapple, and strawberries.

COOK’S NOTE

A great tip for a quick crust is to use a package of ready-made sugar cookie
dough rolled out to fit a pizza pan.

You will need 1 to 2 cups of fruit to cover the pizza — more if the fruit is
smaller, like blueberries or raspberries, or less if the fruit is larger, like
kiwi, mango, peaches, or pineapple. Cut larger fruit into slices. Customize the
fruits however you want and create any pattern you can imagine.

I made this recipe for a fish fry last weekend. I made two batches to
experiment- one using store bought cookie dough and one using the recipe from
scratch. Neither my husband nor I could tell the difference once the toppings
were on, so my advice is to just buy the prepared dough! I decided to make a
dozen mini personal pizzas which looked great but took a little longer to
decorate (see picture I submitted). This made it easy to eat without a
fork/plate. I used marshmallow cream (13oz jar) with the double batch of cheese
to lighten it up. I had baked the cookies, chopped the fruit and mixed the
cheese the previous night and by the time I finished decorating the mini pizzas
(had about 12 with 2 batches), the cheese was very soft. We had a sample at that
point and it was great. By the time we drove an hour to the party, dinner was
delayed & some folks did not have dessert for 2-3 more hours later. These pizzas
did get VERY soggy after the point of 5 or 6 hours. This is not a good recipe
for leaving out on a buffet for an all-day BBQ. My recommendation is to make
sure you have space in a fridge (which is tricky if you're a guest) and only
leave them out for 2 hours maximum before serving. This is a better "served"
dish rather than a "grazing" dessert. I still had lots of compliments and they
still tasted great, crispy or soggy! The fruit I used were strawberries,
blueberries, kiwis, nectarines, grapes, and mandarin oranges. Excellent
combination!

So yummy! I was happy to find a recipe for fruit pizza with a homemade crust. I
put almond extract in the crust and the filling as some others suggested.
Delicious! The only other change I did, was to use a little less sugar in both
the crust and filling. It is so good (even using white sugar as written). My
complaint is that it doesn’t say what size pizza pan to use (I have a few). I
brushed on melted homemade violet jelly over the fruit to prevent browning.

Made awhile ago. Sorry no picture. Used creasantrolls instead of cookie dough as
base. Added whip-topping and marshmallow fluff to cream cheese. Also used cherry
and blueberry pie filing instead of fresh fruit. Delicious!

Everyone loves this dessert. I used the 8 oz Cool Whip as others had suggested,
completely dried the fruit, and froze the crust with filling one hour before
cutting, then added fruit after cutting. I used white granulated sugar and it
turned out great. My only comment is that the time estimates on this recipe seem
off. When you add in the time to make the crust, let it cool, make the filling,
spreading the filling on the crust (which is NOT easy), cutting up and draining
the fruit, I’d say even working as many steps as possible concurrently, this
took a solid two to 2.5 hours.

I used this recipe to make the cookie crust without having to run to the store
to get a tube of cookie dough. But I added the orange juice glaze from Fruit
Pizza II and that was GREAT. My guys all said it was very good. I made a '23'
with kiwi slices, for a birthday, and filled in the rest with strawberry
quarters, raspberries and blueberries. They accused me of using it as a color
blindness test, because nobody saw the 23 until I pointed it out, they all tried
to figure what the red design was! LOL

Delicious! I’ve made this multiple times for friends, and it’s always a hit. It
does get soggy after being out for a bit, so keep in the fridge until you’re
ready to eat. I wait to put the frosting and fruit on until right before a
party, as well. Also, it’s helpful to cut the pieces before putting fruit on
top.

I have made this recipe so many times and it is a hit every single time. I
usually have to make two because my kids will flip if they don’t get any and I
made one to take somewhere. Absolutely delicious and easy. Works with any fruit
and any variations. I have added lemon zest or orange zest to the cream cheese
mix, I have added a touch of almond extract to the sugar cookie mix...and I make
it exactly as it is written. Yummy every way you make it!
