OUR MISSION

The US-China Friendship Committee was formed in 2020 to allow for productive
dialogue and partnerships between the world's two largest superpowers. We firmly
believe through working with one another, not against, mutually beneficial goals
can be reached. We stand firmly against the Trump administration's racist and
divisive anti-China rhetoric.



ADVOCACY

The US-China Friendship Committee is heartbroken at the current state of
relations. Decades of positive improvements have been wiped away in the past
year by the Trump administration. We cannot sit back and watch this happen. We
encourage everyone to take a stand, write to your congressperson or senator and
Tweet Mr. Trump himself on the following issues:

 * Ending the term "China Virus". This is a racist expression that needs to end
   ASAP.

 * Ending the unnecessary Trade War. The Trade War is unproductive, costly and
   fueling hostility. Allow Chinese products to freely compete in the
   US-marketplace, we are a capitalist country, after all.

 * Ending the interference in China's domestic policy. The US is ripe with its
   own domestic problems. Millions of COVID-19 cases, rising crime rate, racism,
   the highest unemployment since the Great Depression. The US needs to focus on
   its internal problems and let China govern as they please. While many argue
   the US is the world's police, we shouldn't be!

 * Ending the China Travel Ban. China has done a tremendous job eliminating
   COVID-19. If fact, no country on earth has done a better job than China on
   the virus. There is no reason the US should as of August 2020 still ban
   Chinese visitors. The unlawful China ban needs to end ASAP.

 * Ending the consistent, unduly threats from the Trump administration. It seems
   everyday President Trump is threatening China. Threats include removing all
   Chinese students, banning Huawei completely, banning flights to and from
   China, closing more consulates. These threats are childish, unwarranted and
   need to stop.



MEET OUR FOUNDER

Cliff Prisament has spent nearly 20 years studying Mandarin and learning about
Chinese culture. After receiving a B.A. in East Asian Studies from the
University of Delaware, he lived in Shanghai for over 5 years, where he married
his beautiful and talented wife of 12 years. Cliff is the CoFounder of Sinoized
Education, a recruiting company focused on placing teachers at schools in the
PRC. Cliff is a non-apologetic China-lover and started the USCFC as a way to let
the government and people of China know that despite the current administration,
they still have a friend here in the US.
