The situation in Gaza is indeed heartbreaking, with children often bearing the
brunt of the conflict and suffering. The lack of feelings, care, and love in
such situations is often a result of deep-rooted political, social, and
historical factors that have led to ongoing conflicts and humanitarian crises.
These issues can be incredibly complex and difficult to resolve, involving
geopolitical tensions, historical grievances, and power struggles. However, it's
crucial for the international community to continue advocating for peace,
justice, and humanitarian aid in conflict zones like Gaza. Supporting
organizations that provide assistance to those in need, advocating for
diplomatic solutions, and promoting empathy and understanding are all ways
individuals can contribute to making the world a more compassionate and caring
place.

I really don't understand how this war in Gaza can prolong till today. The
incidence caused by Hamas's cruel and inhuman invasion into Israel and killed
1200 innocent people. Without any reasonable judgment on the conflict between
Palestine and Israel by international organization responsible for the global
peace keeping, the small conflicts expand to the big wars between Israel and
Palestine (Hamas) without any.organizations to step in to end this war. What the
world leaders and international organizations are doing? Why are they failing to
end this war?

I empathise with the humanitarian issue but can't do much, the leaders of Hamas
and the Palestinians need to decide the future of these children. Only and only
if the leaders of the terrorist organisation give up then there is a possibility
of a ceasefire.

Why? Why? Why? It’s a heart braking seeing those things happening nowadays, how
can human beings still so irrational after many decades of knowledge, culture
and achievement…we are all the same, no matter the skin color, religion or other
beliefs…instead of supporting people who are determined to exterminate others
why not support initiatives aiming to end the conflict!!!

No one can stop this Savage and barbaric attacks against civilians especially
they received the green light from the great nations. But we have to remember as
long as there is shadow there will be light to be found as well. Killing
children is a brutal crime they are killing them cuz they know that they
represent the candles of hope in future so they have to eliminate them. Killing
a person in a forest is an unforgivable crime... and the extermination of an
entire people is a matter of consideration.

This image is deeply concerning and heartbreaking. 😭 It shows a young girl
from Gaza carrying her wounded sibling and walking for miles, an unimaginable
burden for a child to bear. No child should ever have to experience the
horrors of war and conflict. This scene is a tragic representation of how
children become innocent victims, robbed of their basic rights to safety,
security, and a carefree childhood. I strongly believe that the international
community must do more to protect the rights and well-being of children
caught in the midst of armed conflicts around the world. Urgent action is
needed to provide humanitarian aid,  ensure access to essential services, and
ultimately work towards peaceful resolutions that prevent such immense
suffering. The resilience and courage displayed by this young girl is
heartbreaking, and her story must compel us all to redouble our efforts to
uphold the fundamental rights of children everywhere. What concrete steps can
governments and aid organizations take to ensure the safety and wellbeing of
children affected by armed conflicts? How can everyday citizens advocate for
and support initiatives that protect children's rights in crisis zones? What
policy changes or innovative solutions show the most promise for preventing
children from becoming casualties of war? ♻️share this to raise children

There is nowhere safe to go for 600000 children in Rafah.
https://lnkd.in/eMeWKxJM UNICEF reiterates the call of the Interagency
Standing Committee for Israel ‘to fulfil its legal obligation, under
international humanitarian and human rights law, to provide food and medical
supplies and facilitate aid operations, and on the world’s leaders to prevent
an even worse catastrophe from happening.’ Underscoring the special
vulnerabilities of children, UNICEF is also calling for: An immediate and
long-lasting humanitarian ceasefire. The immediate release of hostages, and
an end to any grave violations against all children. The protection of
civilians and the infrastructure that supports their basic needs, such as
hospitals and shelters, from attack and military use; Continued protection of

On this day– Palestinian Child’s Day – we must collectively confront the fact
that more children have been killed in the last six months in Palestine than
in four years of global conflict (https://bit.ly/4cHO0g9). Reflecting on this
should lead all of us to come together in an urgent commitment to peace. In
the last six months, more than 13,000 Palestinian children in Gaza have been
killed, 17,000 have been orphaned, unaccompanied, or separated from their
parents, and many more are suffering from life-changing injuries, starvation,
constant fear of bombing, and psychological trauma. These are children who
had hopes and dreams for their futures, like all children everywhere. As the
CEO of an organization working towards the day when all children have the
education, support, and opportunity to create a better world for themselves
and all of us, it is difficult to process just how far we are from holding a
shared societal commitment to this end. The rights of children, as outlined
in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, are only the beginning of
the commitments we should be making to provide an environment enabling
children to thrive and improve our collective welfare. And yet these rights
are being violated daily. Children have lost their most basic rights,
including their right to life, survival, and protection during war and
conflict. I echo the UN Security Council’s recent demands for an immediate
and permanent ceasefire, the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the
immediate release of all hostages. In addition, it is imperative that
specialized support is provided to affected children and families in
Palestine, Lebanon, and Israel to relieve the traumatic and long-lasting
effects of the war. Every day that goes by without ending the ongoing
violence further puts children’s lives and our collective futures at risk. We
simply cannot continue to tolerate the suffering in Palestine. Let us unite
in demanding an end to the violence and swift action to provide humanitarian
aid to those in need. #PalestinianChildDay

Today, UNICEF Eastern and Southern #Africa launches its 2025 regional
humanitarian appeal for children, prioritizing the needs & rights of
vulnerable communities living through overlapping crises including climate
shocks and public health emergencies. The commitment and trust of our donors
and partners have made our work in the region possible. However, several of
our humanitarian programmes are critically under-funded, which jeopardizes
our long-term efforts.  As we look towards 2025, we must continue to
prioritize action and investment for children in the region, ensuring that
every child has access to their full rights. https://lnkd.in/dt-R3BTX

**🌍 World Humanitarian Day: A Tribute to the Courageous Champions for
Children 🌍** Today, on #WorldHumanitarianDay, we at UNICEF honor the
dedicated individuals and teams who work tirelessly to protect and uplift the
most vulnerable: children. BUT: 2023 marked the deadliest year on record for
humanitarian workers. 2024 is on track to be even worse. These facts lay bare
a glaring truth: The world is failing humanitarian workers and, by extension,
the people they serve. From conflict zones to disaster-stricken areas, our
humanitarian workers are on the frontlines, providing life-saving aid,
education, and hope. Their unwavering commitment ensures that children have
the chance to survive and thrive, no matter where they are. It is time for
those carrying the guns to respect the rules of war. It is time for those in
power to end impunity and violence. To all the #HumanitarianHeroes out
there—thank you for making a world of difference. #ForEveryChild

James Elder's reflection on the children he met at Nasser hospital in Gaza is
a poignant reminder of the urgent need for humanitarian action. The situation
in Gaza is dire, with innocent lives hanging in the balance amid conflict and
crisis. An immediate humanitarian ceasefire is not just a hopeful wish; it's
a crucial necessity to prevent further loss of life, alleviate suffering, and
facilitate the delivery of essential aid to those who need it most. Every
moment counts in such dire circumstances, and a ceasefire offers the best
chance to provide relief and support to vulnerable populations, particularly
children who are disproportionately affected by conflict. Let's join in
advocating for peace and humanitarian action in Gaza. The time to act is now,
for every life saved is a beacon of hope in the midst of darkness.

In the chaos of Nasser Hospital in Gaza, memories of innocent children
underscore the urgent need for peace. A humanitarian ceasefire is more than a
pause—it's a lifeline saving lives and delivering crucial aid. It's a
collective rejection of terrorism and inhumanity, ensuring safety and dignity
for all. While justice is critical, it must not lead to further loss of
countless life or devastate healthcare facilities. The toll on civilian lives
amidst the battles of nations grappling with barbaric adversaries is
unconscionable. Let's come together to oppose violence and strive for a
future where all can flourish. #UNICEF #United Nations #EndTerrorism
