December 01 Done Sebastian “Adico” Quintanilla Search SEBASTIAN “ADICO” QUINTANILLA @SebastianAdico - linktr.ee Tournament Organizer, Writer, Community Manager I consider myself a jack of all trades, master-of-none type of person. I am a problem solver; whether that means going at it alone or working as a team, I will get it done. I am deeply connected to gaming and esports, not just for their value as entertainment media but more so for the sense of community and belonging they provide me and millions of people. You can count on me for any of the following: • Community management and planning in gaming. • Tournament Organizing & planning. • High-quality English and Spanish copy for publication and B2B • Deepen your team’s gaming and esports experience. • Project Management On a freelance basis, I can offer the following: • Video script, research, and interviewing. • Copywriting and communications for brands and organizations • Tournament Admin/Organizing. • Community events planning. I am more than happy to hop on a 15 to 30-minute call with you to talk about my experience or consult on your project! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EXPERIENCE The short version: • 3 years of Content writing for DashFight (2020-Present) • Covered a ton of news about the Fighting Games Community. • Interviewed dozens of players, TOs, and other people in the scene. • Wrote and researched about a hundred videos. • Whether the focus was SEO, Articles, Exclusives, Reviews, etc, I wrote about it. • 4 years of SAP Consultant for Capgemini (2016-2020) • Worked with a ton of Excel, RPA, and CRM tools. • I did a few SAP MM changes and automated a few, too! • 2nd hand to the project lead, my boss trusted 18-yo me a lot. • Handled multiple international clients. The long version can be found on my LinkedIn. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VOLUNTEER WORK A significant part of my work has been devoted to various volunteer initiatives. These are aimed at helping others and enhancing the volume, quality, and depth of esports. LIQUIPEDIA I joined Liquipedia in 2018. Since then, I've become one of the site's administrators. This is largely due to the work that I, along with many other contributors, put into developing the Age of Empires wiki. We transformed it into a main wiki in just over a year. My involvement with the project has consistently grown. I have actively contributed to the efforts of including Stormgate and improving it to match Liquipedia's quality standards. Many Liquipedia staff members would gladly attest to my contributions upon request. RISING EMPIRES A collective of Age of Empires IV fans that I helped put together to foster the grassroots talent of the scene. Whether it be casters, admins, community leaders, graphic designers, producers, or anything at all behind the scenes, the team at Rising Empires is committed to helping grow the quality of the competitive scene as a whole. Many of the folks who have been part of the project went on to work in professional broadcasts, and they all speak proudly of their time contributing to Rising Empires. STORMGATE TOURNAMENT COLLECTIVE Like Rising Empires, the Stormgate Tournament Collective is an initiative I started around the time the game entered Beta. The sole objective of the group is to help establish the competitive scene at a grassroots level by working with local organizers, casters, observers, content creators, and everyone else behind the scenes to produce high-quality, sustainable competition for the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PORTFOLIO I researched, wrote, and interviewed numerous people for a short series of videos for Akshon Esports about some of the more niche esports scenes that exist. Given that I love organizing tournaments, it should come as no surprise that I was one of the first independent organizers to break into the Stormgate competitive scene with The Alpha Navigators Cup. Age of Empires: a History and a Wiki What exactly does a wiki mean? What exactly does 20 some years of esports mean? For many, it's hard to say - but not for the Age of Empires community. This community's long history of community, camaraderie, and survival finds its newest area of growth on Liquipedia. https://teamliquid.com/news/2021/11/12/age-of-empires-a-history-and-a-wiki I had the opportunity to write about Liquipedia and Age of Empires for Team Liquid near the release of Age of Empires IV, a tale of how one of the most beloved franchises in RTS somehow went under the radar for so many years only to be revived at the most unlikely of times. I’ve produced a number of videos and interviews about Age of Empires II, IV, and, more recently, Stormgate, giving people more insight into the players and the overall competitive scene. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONTACT ME!
