Hive365 Christmas Schedule 2020 Hello Happy Hivers!

@everyone We've just pushed out the newest version of the Hive365 Android App to
production! Current version is now: 2.1.4 Changelog:Complete Redesign of the app
Google Play Privacy Policy Compliant Album Art Added Stand-In Presenter Image
Added (More to come) New Notification area Major performance updates App now
closes when paused and exited Double tab back button closes app and radio stream

Updates should start rolling out to devices within a couple hours. If there are
any bugs, please ping me or @evieowlette in the chat so we can work to get it

Our ISP is currently experiencing widespread outages throughout the state

The issues with the ISP originated from a misconfiguration between one of the
border and core routers. They have resolved the issue as of 9:15PM EST (UTC
-0400) last night, and the station seems to be stable again. Please report any

Android App We've just pushed an update to the Android app, there are a bunch of
quality of life updates and bug fixes, notably you should see less crashing when
the app first starts. If you have the app installed, it should be rolled out
over the next 24 hours. If you don't have it installed, What are you waiting
for?

New Minecraft Fabric Mod For those of you that have been looking forward for an
updated client side mod for Minecraft (That's right, listen to Hive in-game), we
have some amazing news! We've published our brand new Fabric mod for use in
either our own "Vanilla" mod pack which can be used through CurseForge's app, or
directly downloaded and dumped into your existing mod pack! There are a bunch of
features, but they can be best explained on our Wiki page for this:

Minecraft mod updates The Minecraft mod has just been updated to 1.17

may come in the form of a DM from a friend asking to "test out my friend's new
game". It's a worm, and it WILL compromise your account. This is being done by
an actual person, not a bot, so the messages may seem relatively convincing.

Minecraft 1.18 questions So Minecraft 1.18 is dropping on the 30th bringing some
crazy new Caves n' Cliffs. With that I wanted to do a quick poll for some new
additions to the mod to see what you guys would want to see in the next version.

🔵 = New customisation options, e.g. able to switch colours instead of just a
black background 🟢 = Ability to move the GUI around, e.g. plonk it in the
bottom left of the screen 🔴 = Integrate the schedule into the mod, e.g. show
when the next show is ⚪ = Work on an equivalent mod for Forge 🟠 = Work on a
Fabric server plugin. I know spigot / bukkit is more popular but I ain't
touching that sorry 😛

IMPORTANT - Critical Log4j bug If you are currently using the hive365 Minecraft
mod please update the fabric loader to either 0.12.9 or a later version if one
is available. If you are not sure on what to do please contact @evieowlette. DO
NOT run the game in multiplayer without this modification. Explanation Our mod
uses the Log4j library as well as most other fabric mods currently available,
the bug allows another player to remotely execute code onto your computer whilst
you are logged into a server simply by them typing in Minecraft text chat.

Quick update Older versions have now been fixed by using the most recent version
of the fabric loader, currently 0.12.11. If you are using the default mc
launcher the fix will automatically now be applied no matter what fabric loader
version u use. For external launchers like MultiMC i’d recommend to still follow
the previous advice

tl;dr As long as you are using the default MC launcher u don’t really have to do
anything now which is good. I’d still recommend updating though just encase

Valve has updated some stuff that's broke our back-end scripts allowing the
server list (on the Servers Page) to show all servers using the Hive365 plugin.

Hive365 1.18.1 Minecraft Client mod update Apologies for the long delay. The
client mod has now been updated to 1.18.1. Had some issues both IRL and with my
laptop but there now fixed so further updates shouldn't take as long.

A note on M1 Macbooks If you simply download the latest version of Java you will
be fine but for those intending to use the native ARM64 version of java for
greater performance you wont hear any audio at the moment. We are working on
this

during the community meeting was the new @Hive365 bot. And I am happy to
announce that the rewrite is at the stage for us to have a semi-open beta! With
this, all song/DJ updates now post to #hive365-live, and you can now Choon,
Poon, Request and Shoutout via the buttons on the update messages, as well as
DJFTW on the DJ Updates. An important note, the commands no longer use ! as the
prefix. You must use the new slash commands (Just type / to see a list of
commands). Choons, Poons, and DJFTWs will only be available via the buttons on
the messages posted in #hive365-live , not through chat anymore!

Now, with the release of the semi-open beta means that the bot is ready for
testing in more than just the Hive365 discord server! :hivelogo: If you'd like
to apply to be part of this beta, and have the Hive365 bot added to your server,

Helllloooooo @everyone! I'm sure some of you have noticed some significant
changes to the schedule, primarily a glaring empty space on Tuesday and
Wednesday. Well we're changing things up here at Hive! We're consolidating the
schedule to hit mainly Friday evenings through Sunday evenings, so most of our
weekly schedule is moving to those dates, with a few shows here and there on
Monday and Thursday.

The goal of this is to give you a consistently banging weekend full of the DJs
you know and love, back to back as much as possible! This all being said it's
also a pretty big change for our DJs too, so though this schedule is live for
the most part we have some vacations and holidays coming up over the next couple
weeks and the schedule will be enforced and in full swing come end of June. In
this interim period, we'll be adjusting the music that the Beekeeper plays to
give a bit more variety and modern music compared to whats played now.

So sit back, and enjoy the new schedules and music coming this month on Hive365!

STREAM UPDATE

Evening Busy Bees! A quick update: We are in the process of changing our backend
stream server. There will be a slew of plugin updates to accomodate these
changes. During this time, you may notice that even our @Hive365 bot is
currently showing the DJ as Non Stop Music with the show Guaranteed to get ya
buzzin, rather than the beekeeper. This is a symptom of using the old server
connections. Once updates are published, DJ info should appear as they normally
do, but in the interim this won't change while plugins and bots are being
updated.

As some of you may know from the 10th anniversary birthday bash this past May,
we at Hive365 committed to reinvigorate the station and make some changes to the
station down to its very core.


TODAY, I'M PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR NEW WEBSITE HAS BEEN RELEASED!!

A MASSIVE thank you goes out to our awesome Tech Team, specifically our web devs
@snazzah and @erasedrhythm who worked tirelessly on the design and
implementation of this site. Coupled with this new site design also comes
Hive365's new domain:

The decision to move to this new domain came after great deliberation and
ultimately the choice was made to decentralize Hive365 as more than a UK based
Internet radio station. We are a global internet radio station delivering
awesome music with the help of our awesome AutoDJ Barnaby, and our wonderful @DJ
Team . There've been some new additions recently that have gone a bit
unannounced, so let me also take this opportunity to introduce our DJ Team:

PLUGIN UPDATES:

As some of you have noticed, or if you read the previous announcement, some of
our integrations are "stuck" and only updating song info. We're working to roll
the new updates on all our plugins over to the new URLs. As of now the following

BEHIND THE SCENES:

There is a LOT of stuff happening behind the scenes, especially within the Tech
Team, so please be patient, and don't hesitate to ping us in #general-chat and
ask what's going on, who knows, we may just let some secrets slip out about
upcoming projects! 😉 One of which is that we're completely replacing the
backend of the station, the stream update was the first step, now we're working
on the rest of the guts that allow our plugins and interactions to work, so if
you notice any issues I urge you to let us know here in the chat so we can
either acknowledge it or get it fixed!


FINAL REMARKS/THANKS:

Lots of info in this message, and I appreciate all of you that took the time to
read this! I'd like to extend a big thank you to everyone here in the @Hive365
Community! Most of you have been here for years, through the good and bad, stale
and exciting; and this is definitely one of the exciting times, and I plan to
keep it that way! We've also adjusted what our @Partner role is used for, and as
I reconnect with the community servers that use our Hive365 plugin, expect to

DISCORD UPDATES

Hey again, I know I'm talking alot today 🙃 As you all got pinged about it in
#rules , I've been revamping the discord a bit. Part of that included changing
some of the default channels you see, removing some channels, adding some, and
also changing some of the default permissions. We're now offering some
incentives to @Nitro Boosters to help get some more features for the discord! If
you support hive by boosting you get the following perks:

 * Ability to upload Soundboard sounds
 * Ability to add custom stickers
 * Ability to add custom emojis
 * Ability to use external emojis/stickers
 * Ability to use external soundboard items

Note: These must still abide by our rules and are subject to removal if they
don't.

As we continue to revamp the community, expect other ways to support the
station, but for now this is an awesome way to help bring life to the discord
and support our growing community here!

Hey @everyone ,

Just wanted to give a couple quick update:


HIVE365 2023 RECAP

Lots of things have changed this year at Hive, and I wanted to give a quick
recap of what we've done:

 * New Website/Domain
 * New Backend
 * Updates to ALL game plugins
 * Discord Redesign/overhaul
 * Both some OG and new DJs returned to the team
 * Hive365 turned 10 this past May!

While the list summed up above may seems short, every one of these items took
lots of time and effort from our awesome team, and the support we've gotten from
our @Partners and community showed us that we wanted to continue running hive
for another 10 years!, so expect more great things to come in 2024 as we close
the book on one of the most monumental years in Hive365 history!


HIVE365 HOLIDAY BREAK SCHEDULE

We are nearing that time of year where Hive enters it's Holiday break schedule!
This year our Christmas Schedule will start from the 16th December Until 6th
January. Between these dates, if our presenters get on air, GREAT! If our
Presenters do not get on air during these dates, GREAT! This means they're
enjoying the holidays with their family! Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to

MAJOR STATION UPDATES


:PARTY_BLOB: BIRTHDAY BASH :PARTY_BLOB:

First and foremost, we have Hive365's 11th Annual Birthday Bash approaching this
next weekend (May 4th and 5th)! So be sure to tune in for a schedule of
back-to-back DJs, with prizes and giveaways to celebrate Hive365's Birthday!
:Party: There may also be some guest apprearances, so be sure to keep an eye
out!


TECHNICAL UPDATE

We are now transitioning to our new backend effective tonight! All DJs will be
utilizing our new Dashboard (screenshot below), and all plugins are receiving
updates!


IMPORTANT: ALL PLUGINS WITH UPDATES MUST BE UPDATED ASAP! STREAM INFO AND DJ
INTERACTIONS WILL NO LONGER WORK WITH THIS CHANGE, SO ITS IMPERATIVE TO UPDATE
ASAP!

With that, here's a brief plugin update: Hive365 Minecraft Server Mod: Updated
to the new backend, Version 3.1.0 is the only supported version at this time!
Hive365 Sourcemod Plugin: Almost a complete rewrite to remove steamworks as a
dependency, new version uses new backend. Version 5.1.0 is the only supported
version at this time! If you use the updater plugin for auto-updates, it should
update to the new version, as well as update to the new updatefile location on
our github repo! Hive365 Garry's Mod Plugin: Updated to use new backend, Version
3.1 is the only supported version! Hive365 Android App: Updated to new backend,
Google Play should be pushing these updates within the next few days. Hive365
Minecraft Client Fabric Mod: Updated to use new backend, now supports Minecraft
1.20.5, downloadable via Modrinth. More compatibility for other MC versions to
come. Hive365 Minecraft Other Client Mods (Forge/NeoForge): These versions are
taking longer due to the workflow of NeoForge, expect updates on these versions
soon!


HIVE365 WEBSITE:

The Hive365 Website has also received some updates! We have fixed the /apply and
/discord links, and have re-added our Servers page, so be sure to check out our
awesome supporters running our plugins!

I think that about sums it up! Looking forward to seeing you all for the
Birthday Bash, and a MASSIVE thank you to our entire @Tech Team for their hard
work on this rework over the past months!
