GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT CHRISTINE FRASER TOURS HER NEWLY RENOVATED DESIGN ON THE
13TH HOLE AT NORTHUMBERLAND LINKS

The 13th hole reopened to rave reviews this week. The renovation is a product of
Golf Course Architect Christine Fraser’s design and Golf Course Superintendent
John Mill’s construction.

The hole features a new tee location, chipping areas, roll offs surrounds, a
treacherous pot bunker, fescue mounds, and a completely redesigned putting
surface that provide a wealth of new pin placement opportunities.

“The new elements in the design are intended to enhance the ‘Links’ feel for the
golfer. Even the sound of waves rolling onto the shoreline below the new tee
take full advantage of the natural ocean setting”, explained Fraser as she
walked the hole for the first time.

Northumberland Links is easy to reach from any direction: just 90 minutes from
the Halifax Airport, 80 minutes from the Moncton Airport, 80 minutes from Prince
Edward Island and 205 minutes from Cabot Links.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

At Northumberland Links, we utilize organic fertility programs that help
increase the amount of carbon that gets sequestered from the atmosphere and
deposited back into the soil. It is part of our ongoing effort to include
environmentally responsible practices in our day-to-day course management.
