The Heart Of The Blue Ridge Mountains

Cashiers North Carolina, the beautiful village famously known as "The Heart Of
The Blue Ridge Mountains", is located high on a plateau in the Blue Ridge
Mountains at the southern end of Jackson County in western North Carolina. Our
singularly unique geography and temperate rain forest boasts hundreds of
waterfalls, quiet lakes and stone mountains. Come marvel at our amazingly
beautiful forests full of wild mountain laurel and rhododendron. Cashiers NC is
prized for it's four distinct and wonderful seasons without the drastic
temperature swings. Generally up here in the mountains we are twenty degrees
cooler than the surrounding areas of the southeast.

Sitting at 3,484 feet elevation at the crossroads of Highways 107 and 64, there
is a little bit of everything here to enjoy for native families, visitors, and
part-time residents alike. Life in the wonderful mountain community of Cashiers
NC is as multifaceted as its landscape. Diverse shopping, award-winning dining,
and many outdoor activities including trout fishing, hiking, camping, boating
and more await you. We have award-winning elementary and high schools, as well
as Southwestern Community College (ranked #7 nationally) and Western Carolina
University nearby.

is the music selected for this project. A mesmerizing unique high-altitude view
of the clouds swirling over this magical mountain! You are looking at the
southern face of this mountain. This video was shot in spring and summer 2018
from an adjacent peak at 3525 feet altitude in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is
