HI, I'M ELEANOR EVANS MEDINA

I am first and foremost, a lover of the Earth on a mission to reconnect us back
with our beautiful mother. Because, when we're connected with the our Mother
Earth, we're connected with ourselves and each other.

With a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, work as a hospice
volunteer, a mindfulness meditation teacher and having sat in thousands of
psychedelic ceremonies, I am deeply curious about our relationships with life
and death. I am a student of the plants and fungi kingdoms, our human
consciousness and the great mystery we are all part of.

I founded The Makaranda Method, this holistic practice in early 2018 and I have
been growing this beautiful community ever since.

I have dedicated my life to sharing what I am learning on how to make the most
of this miraculous opportunity we are given as human beings born into this
unique moment.

A MESSAGE FROM ELEANOR





FROM THERAPIST TO SPIRITUAL TEACHER...

Makaranda means nectar in Sanskrit. In our work together, we support you to
discover the
'makaranda', the nectar of life. To me, the nectar is living in the wholeness of
the human experience, life and death and all the spaces in between. Riding the
waves, the ups and downs with trust that everything is a gift.

The students who work with us tend to be entrepreneurs: therapists, coaches,
nurses, and leaders who are looking to dive into spirituality, create the life
of their dreams and make a massive impact on this gorgeous planet!

So many therapists I know start sessions asking "how was your week?" they want
to know about the past. I don't do that. Each gift from the past has a message
for our present selves. Let's talk about that message
We work with the organicity of the present moment; what is organically arising
in the body and nervous system, here and now. When we focus on the moment, we
can see our lives in a new way.

For example, when there is an emotion coming up in a session, we pause.  I
direct you to go into the body and use the present moment to work through
whatever is arising. Each tool we teach is a key to unlocking your innate
ability to handle whatever life brings you! We believe you are whole, not
broken. Let me support you in seeing your wholeness.

1) Mindset : Mindfulness Meditation, Self talk, Internal Family Systems (IFS),
Jungian Shadow work, Eco-psychology, Plant Medicines
2) Movement : Somatic/body wisdom, learning the language of the body, physical
exercise. Deep listening to yourself.
3) Nurture : Inner kindness, community connection, nutrition, consumption of
what we watch and who we surround ourselves with. 
4) Nature : Our Mother Earth; she is our everything and to be healthy, we
believe we must cultivate our relationship with her in each and every moment.

Our desire is to empower you to quiet the mind through meditation and all these
other keys so you can live authentically and trust what happens for you in this
life, as you step through each door.
