We have a bench to bedside approach, using fundamental and translational research to address clinically relevant problems. In close collaboration between fundamental scientists and clinicians and biologists at the CHU Nimes, we use integrative and multidisciplinary approaches to understand the cellular and molecular basis of host/pathogen interactions and microbial interactions in chronic wounds, and to apply our findings in clinical practice. We are also the National reference Centre for Brucellosis. THEMES * Brucella virulence * Virulence of opportunistic bacteria belonging to the Burkholderia cepacia complex * Chronic wounds: microbiome, interactome, exposome, resistome * Since January 2023, the « Equipe Projet Biology of Staphylococcus infections« , localised at the Triolet Site in Montpellier has joined VBIC. KEY WORDS Brucella, Burkholderia, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas, chronic infections, diabetic foot ulcers, bacterial virulence, type IV secretion systems, zebrafish infection model DOMAINS Bacterial genetics, infection models (cell culture, nematodes, zebrafish), infection biology, cell biology, cellular microbiology, genomics LABELLISATIONS PARTICULIÈRES Centre National de Référence Brucella CONTACTS VBIC, INSERM, U1047 UFR de Medecine Batiment A, 4ieme etage Email LOCALISATION +− Leaflet | © Openstreetmap France | © OpenStreetMap contributors UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTPELLIER 163 rue Auguste Broussonnet 34090 Montpellier * facebook Université de Montpellier * twitter Université de Montpellier * pinterest Université de Montpellier * instagram Université de Montpellier * youtube Université de Montpellier * linkedin Université de Montpellier * Mentions légales * Accessibilité : partiellement conforme * Politique de confidentialité * Plan du site Haut de page
