The NHS Pharmacy First service is an advanced service which connects patients
who have a minor illness or need an urgent supply of medication with a community
pharmacy.

DECLARATION OF COMPETENCE

The Declaration of Competence system has been developed to support you with the
appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver high-quality services.

NHS PHARMACY CONTRACEPTION SERVICE

The CPPE Return to prescribing programme runs over a three month period with
three interactive online workshops. It is open to any pharmacist prescriber
registered in England who needs to regain the competence and confidence to
prescribe.

Over the three online workshops you will reflect on your current skills and
identify actions, resources and opportunities to address gaps in the knowledge,
skills and behaviours required for effective prescribing. This will be achieved
through a mix of individual learning, group activities and discussions, and
sharing of best practice.

This online workshop focuses on common mental health conditions seen in primary
care. It will enable you to support patients with a mental health condition to
optimise their medicines. It will combine principles of team-based learning
(TBL) to facilitate networking and discussion whilst consolidating the
underpinning knowledge about antidepressants, benzodiazepines and z-hypnotics.
Teams will work through simple and more complex case studies to apply knowledge
and share best practice.

This programme has been developed by University of East Anglia (UEA) who own the
intellectual property and copyright.
