That is because since the mid 1980's he and his estate have been the benchmark for quality Spumante Erbaluce di Caluso. Farmed in the alpine hills of Piedmont since at least the early seventeenth century, Erbaluce still gets lost amid all the quality wines of the Langhe. Produced to the exact standards of Champagne or better, there is a reason this tiny appellation was awarded DOCG status in 2010, and continues to draw deserved attention vintage after vintage.98 PROSECCO Prosecco, Giuliana, Extra Dry, NVBin 005056 Prosecco Rosé, Pitars, 2020Bin 000564 Superiore, Valdobbiadine, Bisol, "Cartizze", 2019Bin 0053142 Superiore, Valdobbiadine, Nino Franco, "Rustico", NVBin 009476 CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING WINE Brut Champagne, Bérêche & Fils, "Reflet D'Antan", NVBin 0056446 Brut Champagne, Charles Heidsieck, "Brut Reserve", NVBin 0001116 Brut Champagne, Krug, "Grand Cuvée-168ème Édition", NVBin 0046498 Brut Champagne, Krug, "Grand Cuvée-169ème Édition", NVBin 0096531 Brut Champagne, Pierre Péters, "Cuvée de Reserve", NVBin 0090199 Brut Champagne, Piollot, "Cuvée de Réserve", NVBin 0054143 Brut Rosé Franciacorta, Ferghettina, "Eronero", NVBin 0093102 Brut V.S.Q., Marziano Abbona, "Metodo Classico", NVBin 005779 Extra Brut Champagne, Vadin-Plateau, "Renaissance", NVBin 0092129 Extra Brut Franciacorta, Barone Pizzini, "Animante", NVBin 003592 Lambrusco, Lini 910, "Lambrusca", NVBin 069458 Vermentino Maremma Toscana, San Rabano, NVBin 003353 VINTAGE CHAMPAGNE & SPARKLING WINE Brut Champagne, Bérêche & Fils, "Rilly-la-Montagne", 2017Bin 0088293 Brut Champagne, Claude Cazals, "Le Clos Cazals", 2005Bin 0023312 Brut Champagne, Dom Pérignon, 2010Bin 0095611 Brut Champagne, Dom Pérignon, 2012Bin 0036669 Brut Champagne, Krug, 1985Bin 00241143 Brut Champagne, Pierre Gimmonet, "Cramant-S.C.", 2014Bin 0089404 Brut Champagne, Piper Heidsieck, "Rare", 2006Bin 0004476 Brut Franciacorta, Bellavista, "La Scala", 2017Bin 0060123 Brut Irpinia Greco, Montesole, 2020Bin 003149 Brut Rosé V.S.Q, Luigi Giordano, "Metodo Classico", 2017Bin 001093 Brut Rosé V.S.Q, Montechiari, "Donna Catherine", 2018Bin 000279 Erbaluce di Caluso, Cieck, "Metodo Classico", 2017Bin 003098 Extra Brut Rosé Champagne, Bérêche & Fils, "Campania Remensis", 2018Bin 0047256 Extra Brut V.S.Q., Tamellini, "Metodo Classico", 2017Bin 003769 Gavi Spumante, Fontanassa, "Iha Ble", 2011Bin 0055119 Terre Siciliane, Marino Abate, "Inzolita", 2020Bin 003447 LARGE FORMAT SPARKLING WINE Brut Champagne, Bérêche & Fils, "Brut Réserve", NVBin 0106366 WHITE WINE HALF BOTTLES OF WHITE WINE Paestum Fiano, San Salvatore, "Pian di Stio", 2015Bin 020781 Pinot Grigio, Tieffenbrunner, Alto Adige, 2020Bin 020034 ITALIAN WHITE WINES VALLE D'AOSTA WHITE Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle, Ermes Pavese, 2020Bin 0646109 FEATURED PIEMONTESE WHITE Langhe, Luigi Baudana, "Dragon", 2021Recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its vineyard landscape, the Langhe region of Piedmont is one of the most favorable places for growing vines in the world. Met with the grandeur of endless folding hillsides planted predominantly to indigenous grapes, it's tempting for one to imagine almost ANY grape variety's potential to thrive there. "Dragon" puts this to the test, blending international varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Riesling with the native Nascetta. While traditionalists may argue that only local grapes fully express the sacred terroir of the Langhe, Baudana saw the potential to expand the magic of Piedmont with this beautifully fresh and vibrant expression. Plus, the wine is literally called "Dragon", wait until you see the label.64 PIEDMONT WHITE Colli Tortonesi, Cantina di Tortona, "Piccolo Derthona", 2020Bin 196966 Colli Tortonesi-Terre di Libarna, E. The grape produces a unique white wine with distinct notes of fresh tropical fruit, a touch of salinity, and a naturally viscous texture blanketed around refreshing acidity. With such little acreage under vine of this rare grape, this wine is a special point of pride for the Camerini family, who currently run the small Cecilia estate.66 FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA WHITE Collio, Pinot Grigio, Livio Felluga, 2019Bin 040274 Friuli Colli Orientali, Friulano, Marco Cecchini, 2018Bin 199868 Friuli Colli Orientali, Pinot Grigio, Comelli, "Amplivs", 2021Bin 040354 Friuli Colli Orientali, Sauvignon, Miani, "Saurint", 2016Bin 0663231 Friuli Grave, Chardonnay, Pitars, 2021Bin 059960 Friuli Grave, Pinot Grigio, Artiglio Bianco, 2019Bin 050156 Friuli Grave, Pinot Grigio, Artiglio Bianco, 2020Bin 068952 Venezia Giulia, Gravner, "Anfora Breg", 2004Bin 0608243 Venezia Giulia, Malvasia Istriana, Vignai da Duline, "C.I.", 2015Bin 193794 Venezia Giulia, Malvasia Istriana, Vignai da Duline, "C.I.", 2016Bin 193798 LIGURIA WHITE Portofino, Bisson, "Ü Pastine", 2019Bin 064079 Riviera Ligure di Ponente, Bruna, "Majé", 2019Bin 051073 Vino Bianco, Anfosso, "Antea", 2016Bin 0614156 EMILIA ROMAGNA WHITE Colli di Parma, Monte delle Vigne, "Poem", 2019Bin 062159 Romagna Albana, Tenuta Casali, "Valleripa", 2019Bin 050858 TUSCANY WHITE Bolgheri, Le Macchiole, "Paleo", 2017Bin 1933243 Bolgheri, Michele Satta, "Costa di Giulia", 2019Bin 193076 Elba Ansonica, Cecilia, 2021Bin 069166 Toscana, Ca'Marcanda (Gaja), "Vistamare", 2021Bin 1924172 Toscana, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, 2018Bin 1979546 Toscana, Vermentino, Sator, 2021Bin 051253 UMBRIA WHITE Grechetto, Barberani, 2017Bin 198667 Terre Margaritelli, "Greco di Renabianca", 2019Bin 195079 MARCHE WHITE Offida, Pecorino, Le Caniette, "Veronica", 2020Bin 062862 Verdicchio di Castelli di Jesi Clas. Well, when it comes to Greco di Tufo, the name tells you everything you need to know about this historic white wine. Greco, the grape variety, was said to be introduced to the Irpinia region in the heart of Campania by the Pelasgians, an ancient people from Thessaly in Greece. Tufo refers to the soil of the region, which is comprised of compacted volcanic ash deposited from thousands of years of eruptions in the area. Combined, they make a wine of character and balance that is sure to be enjoyed by any white wine lover, so don't forget the name.78 CAMPANIA WHITE Costa d'Amalfi, Marisa Cuomo, 2021Bin 051499 Falanghina del Sannio, Feudi di San Gregorio, 2019Bin 050949 Greco di Tufo, Fonzone, 2019Bin 050678 Ischia, Antonio Mazzella, 2021Bin 069672 SARDINIA WHITE Vermentino di Sardegna, Pala, "Soprasole", 2021Bin 062061 SICILIAN WHITE Etna, Alta Mora, 2020Bin 190184 Etna, Graci, "Muganazzi", 2020Bin 1927149 Etna, Murgo, 2020Bin 199976 Sicilia, Idda (Gaja), 2021Bin 1955186 Sicilia, Tasca d'Almerita, "Mozia Grillo", 2020Bin 067258 Terre Siciliane, Passopisciaro, "PC", 2020Bin 1957222 AMERICAN WHITE WINE FEATURED VERMENTINO Ryme, "Hers", Los Carneros, 2020Ryme Cellars is a collaboration between husband and wife Ryan and Megan Glaab, whose passion for the distinctive character of Italian wines married with the sunny slopes of Northern California set them apart from a sea of Cab and Pinot producers. With a primary focus on Italian grapes, they strongly believe that a grape variety's popularity does not define its nobility. Vermentino, a wine of tragically untapped potential, is masterfully displayed in "Hers", where angular meets round, in a mouthwatering array of bright and briny layers of soft fruits.88 ITALIAN VARIETALS Arneis, Idlewild, "Fox Hill Vineyard", Mendocino, 2016Bin 043077 Vermentino, Ryme, "Hers", Los Carneros, 2018Bin 040186 Vermentino, Ryme, "Hers", Los Carneros, 2020Bin 040088 Carricante, Æris, "Centennial Mountain", California, 2017Bin 1973127 CHARDONNAY Alexana, "Signature", Willamette Valley, 2014Bin 1911179 Au Bon Climat, Santa Barbara County, 2021Bin 197166 Deovlet, Santa Barbara County, 2017Bin 190797 DuMOL, "Wester Reach", Russian River Valley, 2020Bin 1931197 Goosecross, Napa ValleyBin 191596 Haden Fig, "Juliette", Willamette Valley, 2018Bin 1943126 Liquid Farm, "Golden Slope", Sta. Owner and winemaker Clelia Romano crafts this textbook example of one of the regions most important white grapes, Fiano, from clay-rich soils in vineyards reaching 1,800 ft of elevation. Combining a rounded texture and lifted aromatics, this is a perfect white wine to use as an aperitif on its own or paired with our Squash Blossoms. This premium wine, made with grapes foreign to Tuscany, could only be labeled as "Vino da Tavola" (table wine) until their popularity inspired a revolution of the modern Italian wine-making laws near the turn of the 21st century. The estate's modern "Guidalberto" bottling embodies the same progressive, quality-minded philosophy of it's "big brother", and is sourced from the same vineyards. This classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is as big and beautiful as the name "Super Tuscan" inspires.102 HALF BOTTLES OF RED WINE Barbaresco, Gaja, 2011Bin 2499289 Bolgheri Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido, "Sassicaia", 2018Bin 2782298 Bolgheri Superiore, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, "Ornellaia", 2016Bin 2776369 Bolgheri Superiore, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, "Ornellaia", 2018Bin 2778378 Bolgheri Superiore, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, "Ornellaia", 2019Bin 2788321 Cabernet Sauvignon, Ridge, "Estate", Santa Cruz Mtns., 2019Bin 920499 Chianti Classico, Castello di Bossi, 2018Bin 920039 Chianti Classico, Fontodi, 2019Bin 921276 Toscana, Tenuta San Guido, "Guidalberto", 2020Bin 9214102 PIEDMONT REDS FEATURED BOCA Vallana, 2007As we enter an era when Barolo and Barbaresco join the ranks of Grand Cru Burgundy and Bordeaux collections around the world, high quality ageworthy Nebbiolo at a value is becoming a rarity. Boca, one of the smallest and Northernmost regions in Italy, is almost entirely surrounded by glaciers fed by Monte Rosa, the 2nd highest peak in Europe. Vallana has been making time-honored traditional Nebbiolo (locally known as 'Spanna') since the winery was formed in 1937. Fifth-generation winemaker Francis Vallana carries on his family's classic style to this day. We proudly offer this beautiful '07 with nearly a decade and a half of bottle age...at this price? Just as Burgundy lovers forever debate the nuances of Vosne-Romanée versus, say, Gevrey-Chambertin, Barolo enthusiasts of today discuss structural differences and aromatic distinctions found in each of Barolo's unique subzones. Marrone sources from vineyard sites in the communes of La Morra and Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of Barolo, from soils comprised of clay and limestone, resulting in an elegant and refined style.139 BAROLO Bartolo Mascarello, 2016Bin 2505388 Bartolo Mascarello, 2017Bin 2565409 Bartolo Mascarello, 2018Bin 2557444 Brovia, "Ūnĭo", 2014Bin 1365241 Burlotto, "Acclivi", 2017Bin 1169247 Elio Altare, 2018Bin 1273204 Eraldo Viberti, 2006Bin 1347222 Figli Luigi Oddero, 2016Bin 1315168 Franco Molino, 2016Bin 115592 Marchesi di Barolo, 1947Bin 2549543 Marrone, 2015Bin 9115139 Oddero, 2018Bin 1133149 Paolo Scavino, "Carobric", 2001Bin 1153559 Renato Ratti, "Rocche Marcenasco", 1996Bin 1345337 Renato Ratti, "Rocche Marcenasco", 2018Bin 1167152 Roberto Voerzio, 2017Bin 1325444 Roccheviberti, "Vecchie Viti", 2018Bin 3113148 FEATURED BAROLO "CRU" Broglio, Schiavenza, 2016The Schiavenza winery was started in 1956 by brothers Vittorio and Ugo Alessandria in the heart of the Serralunga d'Alba commune. The estate and surrounding vines were traditionally worked by sharecroppers, and thus the winery was named Schiavenza after the local dialect for sharecropper. The Broglio cru is generally regarded as a vigorous plot, sitting at 360m with south-east exposure and a larger amount of clay in the top soil. This yields a wine of wonderful balance and power, and one that can be consumed at a younger age, but also has incredible aging potential. We're catching this wine somewhere in between with the 2016 vintage--enough age to soften the tannins, but young enough to allow the wine to evolve in the glass.178 VERDUNO Monvigliero, Burlotto, 2017Bin 2545367 NOVELLO Ravera, Marziano Abbona, 2015Bin 1307228 COMUNE DI BAROLO Cannubi, Elio Altare, 2017Bin 1243536 Cannubi - Boschis, Sandrone, 2011Bin 2533398 Cannubi - Boschis, Sandrone, "Aleste", 2015Bin 2513398 LA MORRA Brunate, Marcarini, 1971Bin 2587603 Brunate, Marcarini, 2016Bin 1247241 Brunate, Oddero, 2006Bin 2561511 Brunate, Oddero, 2008Bin 2569486 Brunate, Oddero, 2009Bin 1281479 Brunate, Roberto Voerzio, 2001Bin 2591788 Brunate, Vietti, 2018Bin 2511533 Cerequio, Roberto Voerzio, 2018Bin 1265958 Conca, Renato Ratti, 2018Bin 1209326 La Serra, Roberto Voerzio, 2005Bin 2585589 Rive, Figli Luigi Oddero, "Specola", 2011Bin 1383298 Rocche dell'Annunziata, Roberto Voerzio, 2011Bin 2593809 CASTIGLIONE FALLETTO Bricco Boschis, Cavallotto, 1971Bin 2575598 Bricco Boschis, Roccheviberti, 2016Bin 1151207 Brunella, Boroli, 2013Bin 2507362 Fiasco, Paolo Scavino, "Bric dël Fiasc", 2006Bin 1289409 Monprivato, Giuseppe Mascarello, 2017Bin 2567667 Monprivato, Giuseppe Mascarello, 2018Bin 1329632 Pira, Roagna, 2015Bin 1351269 Rocche di Castiglione, Roccheviberti, 2014Bin 1191166 Villero, Boroli, 2012Bin 2551281 Villero, Boroli, 2015Bin 1127261 Villero, Oddero, 2017Bin 2601229 SERRALUNGA D'ALBA Arione, Giacomo Conterno, 2016Bin 2559647 Arione, Giacomo Conterno, 2017Bin 2547688 Broglio, Sciavenza, 2014Bin 3105163 Broglio, Sciavenza, 2016Bin 9117178 Cerretta, Giacomo Conterno, 2015Bin 2605569 Ceretta, Giacomo Conterno, 2016Bin 2509644 Francia, Giacomo Conterno, 2015Bin 2523574 Francia, Giacomo Conterno, 2016Bin 2603627 Francia, Giacomo Conterno, "Cascina Francia", 1990Bin 25431676 Scarrone, Luigi Oddero, "Rocche di Rivera", 2010Bin 1259348 MONFORTE D'ALBA Bussia, Aldo Conterno, 2016Bin 1201259 Bussia, Aldo Conterno, "Cicala", 1996Bin 1341466 Bussia Aldo Conterno, "Colonnello", 1989Bin 1343711 Bussia, Aldo Conterno, "Colonnello", 2015Bin 1317394 Bussia, Aldo Conterno, "Romirasco", 2013Bin 2529467 Bussia, Aldo Conterno, "Romirasco", 2015Bin 2539662 Bussia, Costa di Bussia, "Luigi Arnulfo", 2015Bin 1215197 Bussia, Oddero, "Vigna Mondoca", 2006Bin 1287498 Bussia, Parusso, 1990Bin 1333339 Bussia, Pecchenino, 2016Bin 1349206 Bussia, Prunotto, 2008Bin 2519222 Bussia, Prunotto, 2009Bin 1255231 Castelletto, Marziano Abbona, "Pressenda", 2013Bin 1267176 Castelletto, Seghesio, "La Villa", 1988Bin 1299224 Ginestra, Elio Grasso, "Casa Maté", 2017Bin 1141262 Ginestra, Elio Grasso, "Gavarini Chiniera", 2017Bin 1203248 Mosconi, Domenico Clerico, "Per Christina", 2011Bin 2535506 Mosconi, Parusso, 2016Bin 1367286 Ravera di Monforte, Rocca Giovanni, 2011Bin 1253156 BAROLO RISERVA FEATURED BAROLO RISERVA Vite Colte, "Essenze", 2010One of the world's most important red grapes, Nebbiolo, is regarded for its distinctive structure and complex flavor profile. It is in the calcareous soils of Barolo where you'll find the most powerful, enchanting, and long lived expressions of the grape. Vite Colte is a co-operative winery that works with over 180 growers, and "Essenze" is vinified from a blend of vineyards throughout the Barolo region, achieving unparalleled balance. Among these rising stars are three sisters, Paola, Valentina, and Federica Grasso, the now fourth generation proprietors and vintners of Ca' del Baio. They farm 4 different crus from within the Barbaresco winegrowing area and blend them to make "Autinbej". His influence has changed the way the world views Italian wine to this day. A master of Nebbiolo--the austere, tannic grape once considered only quaffable after decades of bottle age. Montenidoli is synonymous with its proprietor, Elisabetta Fagiuoli in the sense that it reflects the best of gastronomic Italy: when the simple becomes the complex. Situated outside of the walled city of San Gimignano the wine is reminiscent of great Chianti in that it has depth, character, and complex tasting notes; yet it is approachable and integrates well into the entire dining experience. "Il Garrulo" and Elisabetta have become staples of the sommelier community; both have personalities we crave more of but in reality it is their rareness that we appreciate.68 CHIANTI Colli Senesi, Fattoria del Cerro, 2021Bin 914056 Colli Senesi, Montenidoli, "Il Garullo", 2019Bin 912268 CHIANTI CLASSICO Fontodi, 2019Bin 1716129 La Sala del Torriano, 2019Bin 915867 Poggio delle Orecchie Perse, 2020Bin 179660 Riecine, 2020Bin 914682 Rocca di Montegrossi, 2019Bin 916672 Villa Calcinaia, 1969Bin 2748297 Volpaia, 2020Bin 912673 CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA Badia a Coltibuono, 1977Bin 2840349 Cinciano, 2018Bin 915688 Fèlsina, "Rancia", 2004Bin 1510328 Podere il Palazzino, "Grosso Sanese", 2013Bin 1630132 Tenuta di Nozzole, 2019Bin 179868 CHIANTI CLASSICO GRAN SELEZIONE Castello di Ama, "La Casuccia", 2013Bin 2740429 Castello di Ama, "La Casuccia", 2015Bin 2762449 Castello di Ama, "La Casuccia", 2016Bin 2716407 Castello di Ama, "San Lorenzo", 2018Bin 1614188 Castello di Ama, "Vigneto Bellavista", 2006Bin 2806477 Castello di Ama, "Vigneto Bellavista", 2011Bin 2756441 Castello di Ama, "Vigneto Bellavista", 2016Bin 2814418 Fontodi, "Vigna del Sorbo", 2019Bin 2750288 Rocca di Montegrossi, "Vigneto San Marcellino", 2015Bin 1736167 FEATURED VINO NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO RISERVA Salcheto, 2015There is often an assumption in the wine world that progress underminds tradition. New producers, French barrels, growing disparity between the North and South of the appellation all have lead to myriad styles. However, if there is one estate that embodies Classic Brunello, it is the heralded Castello Romitorio. Founded in 1984, perched among the high elevation northwest side of Montalcino, the winemakers work harmoniously with traditional vinification methods and sustainable viticulture to create terroir driven, balanced, and structured wines. While Brunello styles may differ, the respect for the vintage is paramount among all estates. The wine serves anecdotally to show the power of naturally growing Tuscany's greatest grape in its purest form.169 BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO Altesino, 2017Bin 1548168 Altesino, "Montosoli", 1990Bin 2820429 Altesino, "Montosoli", 2017Bin 1762321 Armilla, 2017Bin 9142119 Baricci, "Montosoli", 2016Bin 2830264 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 1971Bin 28221019 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 2011Bin 2808598 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 2013Bin 2812456 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 2015Bin 2878549 Canalicchio di Sopra, 1995Bin 2704498 Canalicchio di Sopra, 1999Bin 1764388 Canalicchio di Sopra, 2004Bin 1556491 Canalicchio di Sopra, 2015Bin 2722359 Canalicchio di Sopra, 2016Bin 2852332 Canalicchio di Sopra, 2017Bin 2860298 Canalicchio di Sopra, "La Casaccia", 2017Bin 2866529 Caprili, 2017Bin 1672129 Casanova di Neri, 2017Bin 1784189 Casanova di Neri, "Cerretalto", 2016Bin 1528767 Castello Romitorio, 2006Bin 1540169 Cerbaiona, 2007Bin 2802606 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, "Pianrosso", 1990Bin 2904468 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, "Pianrosso", 1995Bin 1560447 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, "Pianrosso", 1997Bin 2870411 Col d'Orcia, 2017Bin 1732148 Fanti, 2017Bin 1748122 Il Marronetto, "Madonna delle Grazie", 2017Bin 2874864 Il Poggione, 1975Bin 2844619 La Gerla, 2016Bin 9102153 La Magia, 2015Bin 1564171 La Torre, 2017Bin 1634213 Le Chiuse, 2017Bin 1768279 Le Ragnaie, 2017Bin 1726198 Le Ragnaie, "Casanovino Montosoli", 2016Bin 2826483 Livio Sassetti-Pertimali, 2016Bin 1512239 Livio Sassetti-Pertimali, "Mulino", 2015Bin 1774296 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja), 2017Bin 2796254 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja), "Rennina", 2013Bin 2768281 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja), "Rennina", 2015Bin 2772268 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja), "Sugarille", 1997Bin 2758676 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja), "Sugarille", 2015Bin 2836492 Pietroso, 2016Bin 1750227 Poggio Antico, "Altero", 2011Bin 1740209 Poggio di Sotto, 2015Bin 2884551 Poggio di Sotto, 2016Bin 2896598 Roberto Cosimi, "Il Poggiolo", 1985Bin 2734327 Salvioni, "La Cerbaiola", 2016Bin 2804537 Salvioni, "La Cerbaiola", 2017Bin 2900498 San Filippo, 2016Bin 1604201 San Giorgio, "Ugolforte", 2017Bin 1638167 Silvio Nardi, 2017Bin 1742179 Tenuta Buon Tempo, 2010Bin 1734197 Tenuta Buon Tempo, "P. 56", 2013Bin 1668219 Val di Suga, 2016Bin 1728184 Valdicava, 2007Bin 1586449 Valdicava, 2017Bin 1616329 Ventolaio, 2016Bin 9138139 FEATURED BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RISERVA Franco Pacenti, 2012Brunello di Montalcino has risen to be the premier interpretation of Tuscan Sangiovese. At the Riserva level, it ranks among some of the highest aging requirements of any other table wine in the world. By law, it may not be released until the 6th year following harvest, and is mandated to mature in oak for a minimum of two years. Full in body, a Riserva designated Brunello expresses all the traditional flavors one expects from the varietal with an emphasis on black cherry, chocolate notes, and a dark earthiness. The resulting wine is a more pronounced, luxurious bottling that only the hill of Montalcino can provide.219 BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RISERVA Altesino, 2007Bin 2824473 Altesino, 2016Bin 2862312 Baricci, "Nello", 2015Bin 2702519 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 1967Bin 2818957 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 1983Bin 2842856 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 1995Bin 28562112 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 2006Bin 28501526 Biondi-Santi (Tenuta Greppo), 2011Bin 28321082 Canalicchio di Sopra, 2016Bin 2810688 Caprili, 2012Bin 2700319 Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona, "Santa Caterina d'Oro", 2015Bin 2718498 Conti Costanti, 2015Bin 1606569 Donatella Cinelli Colombini, 2016Bin 1642398 Fanti, "Vigna Le Macchiarelle", 2012Bin 2754288 Franco Pacenti, 2012Bin 1546219 Fuligni, 2013Bin 1568453 Fuligni, 2015Bin 1588444 Il Poggione, "Vigna Paganelli", 2005Bin 2828436 Poggio di Sotto, 2016Bin 17241257 San Filippo, "Le Lucére", 2016Bin 1504597 San Polino, 2015Bin 1542299 San Polino, 2016Bin 1516311 Sesta di Sopra, 2016Bin 1506422 Uccelliera, 2015Bin 1618414 Uccelliera, 2016Bin 1612389 Valdicava, "Madonna del Piano", 2006Bin 1632917 Valdicava, "Madonna del Piano", 2009Bin 2760789 Valdicava, "Madonna del Piano", 2015Bin 2710867 Valdicava, "Madonna del Piano", 2016Bin 1628737 "SUPER TUSCAN" FEATURED BOLGHERI Tenuta Argentiera, "Villa Donoratico", 2019The Super Tuscan movement began in the early 1970s and quickly gained favor amongst collectors and casual wine drinkers alike. At a time when a majority of Tuscan wines were synonymous with thin, mediocre table wine, a few restless vintners set out to challenge the status quo. The wines were enthusiastically received by critics and ultimately led to a wine quality renaissance in Tuscany that has been on the rise ever since! The first bottle associated with the movement was Tenuta San Guido's 1968 "Sassicaia", vinified from Cabernet grapes on the Tuscan coast of Bolgheri. On the wave of their uncle Mario's overnight success with Sassicaia, nephews Piero and Lodovico Antinori adopted their own unique style with the release of Tignanello, Solaia, and Ornellaia. We proudly offer a library of these world class wines from our cellar, many of which only a handful of bottles still exist. The foothills of the latter form finger-shaped valleys where the vineyards of Valpolicella dot the landscape. "Verjago" is made from an indigenous grape blend, with Corvina being the principle variety. After harvest, the grapes undergo a unique process called "Appassimento", allowing the grapes to dry for several months on straw mats in small structures called Fruttaio, which are interspersed throughout the vineyards. This process is typically reserved for Amarone della Valpolicella, the region's greatest wine, making this bottling an incredible value, especially for those in search of something full-bodied and bold.96 VALPOLICELLA Coffele, 2020Bin 411657 Prà, "Morandina", 2020Bin 918464 Classico Superiore, Domìni Veneti, "Verjago", 2017Bin 913096 Classico Superiore, Tommaso Bussola "TB", 2015Bin 1460121 Superiore, Marion, 2016Bin 4106142 VALPOLICELLA RIPASSO SUPERIORE Buglioni, "Il Bugiardo", 2020Bin 915269 Marchesi Biscardo, 2018Bin 914881 Classico, Montecariano, 2015Bin 411884 Classico, Secondo Marco, 2015Bin 148659 AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA Ca' dei Frati, "Pietro dal Cero", 2015Bin 4126248 Ilatium Morini, Campo Leòn, 2016Bin 4194124 Prà, "Morandina", 2015Bin 4104188 San Cassiano, 2016Bin 4120109 Torre d'Orti, 2016Bin 1418112 Classico, Ambrosan, 2007Bin 4124234 Classico, Ambrosan, 2008Bin 4132229 Classico, Ambrosan, 2010Bin 1418239 Classico, Brigaldara, 2016Bin 4182161 Classico, Buglioni, "Il Lussurioso", 2016Bin 1480172 Classico, Domìni Veneti, "Jago", 2013Bin 1484192 Classico, Marchesi Biscardo, 2016Bin 1464158 Classico, Tommaso Bussola, 2017Bin 1472202 Classico, Valentini Cubi, "Morar", 2011Bin 4154127 Classico, Vigneti di Ettore, 2017Bin 1408176 Classico Superiore, Bertani, 1980Bin 1478696 Classico Riserva, Cesari, "Bosan", 2010Bin 4122267 Riserva, Brigaldara, 2011Bin 4156424 OTHER VENETO REDS Colli Euganai Rosso Riserva, Vignalta, 2015Bin 140056 Raboso Piave, Santomé, "Parcel #912", 2012Bin 410876 Veneto, Case Paolin, "Rosso del Millio", 2016Bin 143059 Veneto, Inama, "Bradisismo", 2016Bin 412872 Veneto, Maculan, "Fratta", 2016Bin 4168222 Vino da Tavola, Venissa, 2011Bin 1410500ml 321 VENETO REDS OF QUINTARELLI & DAL FORNO FEATURED PRODUCERS Quintarelli vs. Dal Forno. DRC vs. Leroy...Lafite vs. Latour...Conterno vs. Gaja... the wine geek's equivalent to a political debate (notwithstanding a little BS) in a quest for the single greatest expression of a particular wine. In Valpolicella, two producers indisputably reign at the top of the quality pyramid: Quintarelli and Dal Forno. Both producers commit maniacal attention to fruit selection, sorting down to the individual berry if necessary to achieve the best extraction of flavor possible. Quintarelli's genius in the cellar is carried out through more traditional methods of èlevage, while Dal Forno boasts one of the most technologically advanced wineries in the world. Preference in the resulting wines can be polarizing depending on the taster, but the quality of both is unquestionable. Where Quintarelli masterfully draws elegance and otherworldly aromas out of his Amarones, Dal Forno excels in achieving depths of concentration winemakers in Napa only dream about. Within this vast park also sits the San Salvatore winery, established in 1988. Focusing on organic and biodynamic cultivation of Aglianico, Campania's most widely planted grape, San Salvatore has become a name synonymous with quality at a great value. For generations before that, and still today, the family has farmed buffalo, bred to produce the famed Mozzarella di Bufala Campania, maybe the most famous mozzarella in the world. Of course, a buffalo graces their label, and their slogan reads in part: "I've seen a buffalo through the grapevines, and I've drank wine". Started by a few Kentucky boys, it refers to the tradition of walking thoroughbred horses onto the racetrack just before lining up at the starting gate. It's a moment that inspires appreciation and wonder, and is often how you can decide which horse to put your money on. We're putting all of ours on Thomas Rivers Brown, whose name has become synonymous with the highest quality Napa Cabernet.119 AMERICAN CABERNET ET AL. 22 Hundred Cellars, "52W", Paso Robles, 2020Bin 229664 Abreu, "Rothwell Hyde", Napa Valley, 2016Bin 2242636 Abreu, "Rothwell Hyde", Napa Valley, 2018Bin 2248659 Abreu, "Thorevilos", Napa Valley, 2012Bin 22721388 Abreu, "Thorevilos", Napa Valley, 2016Bin 22161697 Adaptation, Napa Valley, 2018Bin 2254222 Blankiet Estate, "Paradise Hill", Napa Valley, 2002Bin 2270726 Bond, "Quella", Napa Valley, 2014Bin 22101411 Brassfiled, High Valley, 2019Bin 910059 Continuum, "Sage Mountain", Napa Valley, 2018Bin 2222626 Cultivar, North Coast, 2019Bin 916079 Daou, Paso Robles, 2021Bin 914482 Double Diamond, Oakville, 2019Bin 2212188 Figgins, "Estate", Walla Walla Valley, 2018Bin 2200298 Hamel Family Wines, "Isthmus", Sonoma Valley, 2018Bin 2290226 Hoopes, Napa Valley, 2017Bin 2252154 Hundred Acre, "Ark", 2018Bin 22321376 Hundred Acre, "Kayli Morgan", 2018Bin 22301398 Hundred Acre, "Morgan's Way", Napa Valley, 2019Bin 22681432 Larkmead, "Dr. Olmo", Napa Valley, 2013Bin 2246487 Larkmead, "Dr. Olmo", Napa Valley, 2015Bin 2204478 Leonetti, Walla Walla Valley, 2019Bin 2202376 My Favorite Neighbor, San Luis Obispo County, 2019Bin 2250108 My Favorite Neighbor, "B.IV.L.", S.L.O., 2020Bin 2294116 Napa Cellars, Napa Valley, 2018Bin 229876 Obsidian Ridge, Red Hills-Lake County, 2019Bin 915498 Patria, "A. Native to Northern California, he started Cruse after years in the industry and notably creating a Champagne-inspired Sparkler called Ultramarine, using Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the legendary Charles Heintz vineyard. Super cool. For his eponymous label, he opted against the usual suspects as it pertains to California wine, choosing instead to cultivate lesser known international varieties such as Valdeguié, Tannat, Carignan, and St Laurent, all farmed organically. Monkey Jacket is the flagship bottling of Cruse, with Valdeguié leading the way in this unique blend. Using the unique passito method, grapes are dried out on straw mats to concentrate sugars and amplify complexity.
