πecution Alpha* a map of π value for vocational venturers I am NOT an expert on π posting nor do I have a large following, but I care about using π productively. This is the map I currently use, and if you use it too, you'll do at least as good as me. While built for π, it should roughly work for other platforms as well. @BrianHatano *"Alpha", often confused with dominance, here we mean a commitment to taking the bold steps toward GREATNESS πecution Philosophy My philosophy of effort Offer value to people Algorithms change to attract people. If you focus on providing value to people, you'll stay ahead of the algorithm Focus on Being Great Focus on the great things you care about, not on intimacy, technique, or just data Enjoy yourself If it isn't fun, stop doing it; craft your π experience first and foremost for your pleasure Be Productive π Productivity isn't required, but if you're reading this, you care: be aware and be productive in content, growth, and monetization Northstar of πecution: Your Great Thing Audience Who do you care about? Who cares about your work? Where can you meet them? Art What are you eager to spend every waking hour on? What new thing are you creating in the world? What is your offering? Outperform Large Accounts Using the account estimator at https://tweethunter.io/how-much-your-twitter-is-worth, I reviewed 66 accounts, majority brand-names, and here is the breakdown. Note that some accounts WAY outperform others relative to the number of followers. These are "Tier 5/Maestro" accounts. This means that it's possible to outperform and out-monetize accounts 10-100x larger than yours. Engagement = Average Replies per post per 1,000 followers T1: Apprentice = <1 T2: Practitioner = 1-3 T3: Artisan = 3-4 T4: Virtuoso = 5-10 T5: Maestro = 11-20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follower Value = Estimated Account Value* per Follower T1: Apprentice = $0.01 - $0.99 T2: Practitioner = $1.00 - $1.99 T3: Artisan = $2.00 - $4.99 T4: Virtuoso = $5.00 - $9.99 T5: Maestro = $10.00 + -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post Value = Estimated Average Value* per Post T1: Apprentice: $1 - $99 T2: Practitioner : $100 - $499 T3: Artisan: $500 - $999 T4: Virtuoso: $1,000 - $9,999 T5: Maestro: $10,000 - $99,999 T6: Demigod: $100,000 + *Value is base on the Account Estimator's guess related to Ad Spend, NOT to Revenue Sharing. I have no idea how revenue sharing is calculated. In other words, the high value posters are getting much more than the ad spend out of their posts, and if you organically get reposted by these individuals, you just saved an ENORMOUS amount of Ad Spend. Find your Style Value takes different forms STYLE 1: Some write article-level philosophical treatises and social commentary -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Devon_Eriksen_ Rating Engagement: Master (L5) Value/Follower: Master (L5) Value/Post: Virtuoso (L4) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYLE 2: Educating on Your Expertise -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @dieworkwear Rating Engagement: Master (L5) Value/Follower: Master (L5) Value/Post: Master (L5) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYLE 3: Fresh Reporting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @CollinRugg Rating Engagement: Master (L5) Value/Follower: Master (L5) Value/Post: Master (L5) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYLE 4: Crystal Clear Musings -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @naval Rating Engagement: Artisan (L3) Value/Follower: Artisan (L3) Value/Post: Master (L5) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STYLE 5: Joyful Shitpoasting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @elonmusk Rating* Engagement: Apprentice (L1) Value/Follower: Apprentice (L1) Value/Post: Demigod (L6) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Note that the larger the account, the harder it is to keep average engagement high. Also, when an account attracts highly generalized interest, i.e. when the account is the owner of π, most people just follow without engaging. STYLE 6: Masters of the Meme -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Rothmus Rating Engagement: Artisan (L3) Value/Follower: Artisan (L3) Value/Post: Virtuoso (L4) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Set Up your Audience 1 Share publicly to generate interest 2 Consider using π Pro with List Feeds 3 Create and curate your unique audience 4 Pin the best lists 5 Find and follow lists you care about By creating your list, you are creating a 100% unique, brand new street in Cloud City π. Develop your Value 1 Value is about giving others what they want: objective utility, competitive interest, relative fun, and satisfaction over time 2 It's a terrible tragedy to live only for the likes, but engagement is a measure of value, and value is desire fulfilled 3 Besides pipelining for venture purpose, posts can be used to discover value and pre-validate products 4 Many on π are worried about algorithms and gamification- don't worry too much about these 5 At the end of the day, the algorithms of π are designed around what people find valuable 6 Lead the algorithm by leading value: learn what people want, not what π wants 7 People usually only invite strangers in their life for the value they provide 8 You're a stranger; maybe you'll become a trusted mentor or muse 9 Your value increases when others place their TRUST in you 10 Give little time to technique, intimacy, or objectivity 11 Create around the Great Thing you love most 12 Show others the truth of its greatness Your πecution Checklist- 5 Points Define Your Reputation What reputation statement inspires you to steal fire from the gods every day? Identify Your Audience Who are they? What brings them together already? Follow and build lists. Communicate and Engage Communicate frequently and clearly about what you care about. Listen and engage with questions. Develop Your Posting Style What's your preferred posting style? Articles, breakdowns, reporting, musings, shitpoasts, memes, etc. Get great at it; perfect it; be the best at it; mix it up. Pre-validate Your Work Use posts as pre-validation for your products. What value do you want to put out into the world? How can you validate this with your posts?
