A company is searching for a Director of Product who will engage with internal
and external stakeholders to plan, investigate, and launch improvement
initiatives, product releases, and features. You will use and leverage your
analytical chops to synthesize product usage trends and identify opportunities
to improve users’ experience. The ideal candidate is someone who is customer
obsessed and possesses a passion for IoT.
Responsibilities
1. Leads the development and execution of a comprehensive product vision,
roadmap, and strategy, aligning with company goals.
2. Collaborates with the leadership team to further refine product vision,
strategy, metrics, and requirements.
3. Conducts competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and
ensure the company’s market differentiation.
4. Reviews and recommends product enhancements and features.
5. Fosters a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous
improvement within both Product and Design teams.
6. Provides leadership and direction for the Design team, ensuring
high-quality design execution and alignment with product strategy.
7. Manages the product backlog, prioritizing user stories, features, and
design initiatives based on user needs and business impact.
8. Oversees the creation of clear and actionable product specifications,
including wireframes, user flows, and acceptance criteria, working
collaboratively with the Design team.
9. Works cross-functionally with Product and Engineering Teams to implement
the solution and perform system testing and data validations.
10. Works closely with the Hardware Team to validate the viability of products
to ensure the commercial viability of the offering.
11. Leads and strategizes product launches, including user testing, quality
assurance, and deployment.
12. Manages ongoing product maintenance and provides support for existing
products.
13. Ensures all new features, products, and enhancements provide a
best-in-class user experience.
14. Champion a user-centric approach by leading user research initiatives.
Identify user pain points, translate insights into actionable product
features, and ensure end-user adoption.
15. Communicates with customers regularly, gathering feedback while remaining
service-oriented.
16. Conducts customer interviews and performs usability testing and research.
17. Communicates solution design/requirements to stakeholders, translating and
simplifying requirements for engineering and business purposes.
18. Leads cross-functional initiatives involving Design, Engineering,
Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a smooth product development
lifecycle.
19. Develops and implements go-to-market strategies for new products,
collaborating with internal teams such as Marketing and Customer Success.
Qualifications
1. 8+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of
success in launching and scaling B2B technology products in a fast-paced
environment.
2. 5+ years of experience leading product teams.
3. Experience writing user stories, defining epics, and managing the entire
product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
4. Strong experience directly engaging prospective and existing customers
regarding current and future product offerings.
5. Experience within the construction technology industry or IoT is strongly
preferred.
6. Proven ability to creatively solve problems, influence product
improvements, and interpret business/technical requirements.
7. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Design, Information
Technology, Economics, or a related STEM degree program is required or
equivalent.
8. Experience working in an agile development environment.
9. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
10. Strong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
11. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a
proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and
non-technical audiences.
12. Demonstrated personal commitment to customers and a commitment to setting
and exceeding high-quality standards.
